Misty Meadows Boarding Kennel

I left my dog from Sunday morning at 8am until Thursday morning at 8am (those times were given to us). We were charged for 5 days, not 4, essentially charging us 37.50 a day, plus tax. When I called to inquire about the charges, I was told that if you drop off Saturday and pick up Sunday you are charged for 2 days since they still have to take care of your pet on Sunday. Well, when we picked her up at 8am on Thursday, we were told that she had not been outside yet because the loud ones go out first. So, I was charged $30 for the 'day' even though they'd had to do nothing at all. The woman on the phone explained that she has nothing to do with the care, she just does the booking. I also explained to her that our dog was covered in urine and smelled so bad, that her blanket and pillow were also covered in urine. She again told me that she doesn't take care of the dogs. I am so disappointed, the previous owners took such good care of our pooch for the last 13 years. When I explained how heartbroken I was and how dissatisfied I was with the service, she didn't care. I told her that unfortunately we'd have to start using a different kennel and she was not the least bit concerned. She was unapologetic for the mistreatment of our family pet and I am appalled by the treatment I received from her over the phone. Thirteen years in and I have to find a new kennel to love my dog.

Left my dog there this weekend, can’t say much about everything that happened but when I picked my dog up, his blanket and harness (that was left with him the whole time) were both soaked with pee and he was shaking when I picked him up. As I said, I can’t say much for what happened between Friday and Sunday but he never has accidents inside so I’m extremely unimpressed. Also sent him a can of food for both mornings he was there and only one can was used so it seems they didn’t feed him. Building is dirty, and seems like only one person is caring for the animals.

NEVER AGAIN... we left our two cats and our daughters dog for the weekend. We prepared three bags of dry food for each cat and left four cans of wet food (Each cat is given half a can each day...) When we returned only one bag of dry food was used and one can of wet food to feed both cats. There were crickets in the kennel and crawling in the cat's dry food. The bowls for the wet food were never used! The cats were both cowering in their crates. The litter had not been cleaned... The dog's harness and leash were left on the floor and soaked in urine. His favourite blanket was soaked with urine and very heavy to carry. . We obviously feel very little care was given to the animals. My wife called this morning to ask what had taken place - she was looking for an explanation. The person who answered the phone said she does not deal with the animals and does not know what takes place. Her husband cares? for the animals. She then stated the cats were very nervous and stayed hidden (so much for not knowing what goes on) Very upset and we will NEVER return to this place.

They take great care of my dog since she was a puppy. My dog is now 7. My dog gets out of the car and goes right in without a leash. Bill and Kathleen are very caring

My dogs and cat absoluty love visiting! Muffin, cat, settles quickly and starts eating immediately. While Lady and Rufus get very excited when they realize where they are going and can't wait to play with their friends and make new ones. Thank you for everything you do!

Our Shihtzu loves visiting Kathleen. The kennel is always clean and he enjoys his time very much. Great service and always with a smile.

My brother dropped his 3 exotic cats off (African serval) at this place before going on a last minute emergency trip. He sent the owners frequent payments and advised them to contact him by email if any issues and had my mom do a follow up…When my brother didn’t receive any. Communication from them and I called them to inquire about the cats they said a guy came and picked them up??????!? Are you serious,I told them that there was no one given permission to grab the cats.How could you let someone grab someone else’s animals? I asked them if they had cameras or did they take identification they said no????Chris also said there open to the public. How incompetent can you after that they said they never received any payments or emails but there was multiple e transfers accepted and emails sent they didn’t contact my mother or even sent an email to my brother. There’s something very fishy going on here as these cats are worth a lot of money and now the owner Pauline and Chris aren’t answering back after I asked them to check there emails and bank statements and to figure where these cats went. Clearly they sold the cats or just incompetent to think they have very expensive cats and let anyone come and take someone’s animals. Expect a big lawsuit along with a criminal investigation……STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
