Moores Clothing for Men

We had a great experience at this Moores location. While travelling to the island for holidays we realized on the ferry that my partner forgot his suits at home. We were in a rush to quickly get the new clothes as we had to drive across the island for a dinner reservation. Staff (Ray, Tanny and their colleague) were super helpful and came to the rescue. We were able to walk out with the clothes, including tailored pants, in about 20 minutes. We were very pleased and relieved. Thank you guys!

Absolutely terrible experience at Moores in Nainamo. We rented all the suits for our wedding thinking it would be stress free and easy. It was anything but that. We were supposed to pick our suits up on the Friday the day before our wedding, but we got a call on Wednesday telling us we needed to come get the suits, because they won’t be open on Friday anymore due to unforeseen circumstances. We drive 40 minutes to pick up the suits and are then told there is no seamstress to help with alterations if the suits don’t fit, and our groomsmen won’t be able to try on their suits as we had to pick up early. My husband then goes to try on his suit and there’s a big black stain on the front of the jacket. The workers then tried to get the stain out and it was unsuccessful. We were then told “there was nothing they could do about it” and “things happen.” We asked if we could get a discount as all this happened, the one employee was super rude stating “why would we give you a discount?” Etc. Ended up giving us the grooms suit for free after arguing. Workers were very rude and not helpful at all. Acting as if the situation was no big deal. One of the suits for the groomsmen never showed up for the day we were told to come get the suits. My dads white shirt for his suit was so so big he had to go out and spend money on a new shirt after already paying for a rental suit. I will never ever go back to Moores as this was an awful experience.

What a fantastic experience. I took my son there to try on suits for his prom. Tanny took excellent care of us. They had him try on many different styles and once he picked the style he liked best, Tanny pulled a variety of shirts, ties, bow ties, etc. for my son to try on. They even let my son have fun trying on dinner jackets just to see what they looked like. Excellent customer service, super friendly and we had lots of laughs. It was a wonderful and memorable experience.

When shopping on Saturday - right before prom and in the midst of wedding season - we knew that Moores would be busy. Even so, the assistant manager and colleagues made our experience an excellent one. They were extremely helpful, kind courteous and we even shared a number of laughs. We felt well taken care of, never pressured and never rushed. A great experience!

I saw online get 5 or more suit rentals get one free. I rented 7 for my wedding party. Double and tripled checked to see if my rental be free. They said yes. I had one of my groomsmen pick up wedding party suits and they charged him for my rental. Said he would get refund as soon as suits came back. Tried to call multiple times/days with no answer. I am from out of town so I couldn't stop at store. Month and half goes by finally get hold of manager through customer service email and got the refund. Manager didn't seem to happy about it. UPDATE-much smoother process with my brothers wedding party rentals earlier this year.

Went in to get my wedding suit tailored, Ray was extremely helpful and charismatic. Even offered to help me get dressed and ready on my wedding day to make sure I look my best! 10/10

Some of the nicest, patient and most helpful staff ever. They gracefully handled rude customers and gave me exceptional service. Plus they knew exactly what would look good on me!

Just a terrible experience throughout in trying to rent suits for my wedding. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to help in the lead up, and when the suits did arrive 3 of the pants had broken clasps, 4 of the suits were crumpled in the bottom of the suit bag and the shirts were so ill fitting that everyone just wore their own white dress shirt. I tried mine on at the store the day before the wedding and it was very wrinkly. When I asked if it would be pressed before I left the staff looked at me like I had two heads (they did press it, but only after I insisted).Upon return we were told a manager would reach out to offer a partial refund given we didn't even wear the shirts...it's been 3 months. Go literally anywhere else, you will not love the way you look" here."

With only 5 days before our wedding we were in a rush to get a last minute outfit for the father of the bride. Along with all the other last minute fine tuning we needed to give our attention to before the big day, we remembered the great service that we’ve always received at Moores Nanaimo.My fiancé asked for some help from the staff and Ray came to save the day. He proved himself to be very knowledgeable, he definitely knows what he’s talking about and gave us all the time and support we needed. We never felt rushed or under pressure to get the sale completed. I can’t recommend this store enough and we’re very thankful for Ray and the manager for their time and help.

If you're a bigger guy then save yourself the embarrassment of going to this place. Your self esteem will thank you if you just go somewhere else... To Moores - honestly don't bother replying to this review, I have no intention of entering your store or talking with your staff again.
