Recently I had the pleasure of meeting the founder and owner of Hedgehog Ville, Valerie, and was given a tour of the premises. Valerie is so kind that she patiently tells me all the things I need to consider as a new hedgehog owner. She is also experienced on answering me some question about hedgehog living environment. The hedgehog baby I picked up is also energetic and healthy. She is amazing at helping anytime you have questions, including cage selection and bedding selection etc. If my friend asks me where to get her own hedgehog, I will definitely recommend Valerie. I can't begin to say enough positive things about Valerie and would not hesitate to highly recommend Hedgehog Ville to anyone interested in hedgehogs.As a first time hedgehog owner, I did a lot of research, but found outdated and conflicting information. Valerie has a wealth of knowledge and promptly answered all of my questions. She also runs a private Facebook group for Hedgehog Ville adopters to stay in touch, and she monitors any questions. It is clear that Valerie truly cares about the well-being of her babies even after they have gone to their new homes. I also appreciated the comprehensive adoption application form and contract. The process ensures that you will be prepared for your new pet, and the fact that there is a health guarantee demonstrates how dedicated Valerie is to breeding healthy hedgehogs. In addition, I like the peace of mind knowing that Valerie would be able to take in and re-home my hedgehog if something happened to me and I could no longer care for my pet.It has been a joy to watch my baby hedgehog grow up. From the day I brought her home, she was friendlier and more confident than I could have ever imagined. I had expected her to be shy and that the bonding period could be slow, but she is a fearless little explorer, and I think this is due to how well socialized she and her parents were from birth. Valerie was amazing with the whole adoption process. She clearly loves all the animals she cares for, as the foundational work she put in to socialize my hedgehog paid off! The hedgehog I adopted from Hedgehog Ville is a very healthy, happy boy, and at only month three of having him, he was already enjoying belly rubs! I couldn't ask for a better experience, and this being my third hedgehog, this was the best experience to date for the whole adoption process.

We just received our hedgehog from Valerie at Hedgehogville yesterday, yet we were in contact with Valerie for a couple months prior, even a few weeks prior to filling out her application forms. The application form and process alone was a clear indicator of Valerie's professionalism and care in her breeding. She was always available to answer all questions and concerns and makes great recommendations. After just a little time with our new addition, we can see he was very social and loves to explore. Adopting my baby boy from Valerie was nothing short from an amazing experience. She is an extremely knowledgeable breeder and wants nothing but the best for these animals. She updated me frequently of my hedgehog’s growth and patiently answered any questions I had as I was preparing to bring my baby home. I picked up 4 hedgehogs from Hedgehogville on Oct 4, 2021. It was a long and winding road to import hedgies from Canada to the U.S. However, it was worth every second of paperwork, phone calls, reading rules & regulations and the year and a half waiting for the border to reopen!!!!!Valerie is a “Hedgehog and Tenrec Whisperer” as far as I’m concerned. Her animals are clean and well-cared for, and most importantly, LOVED. I am finding my 4 girls easy to pick up and cuddle with. They had no issues at all traveling back to the States.Valerie answers all my stupid questions and gives loads of tips and advice. Her products sold on her website are terrific, and I bought numerous items.My pets’ health and how they are raised are of supreme importance to me. I want healthy, happy hogs that will, hopefully, live to their full lifespan. That requires a good start, which Valerie gives to them. You can tell when someone is just pushing animals out the door for the money. This is NOT Hedgehogville. She is clearly crazy about everyone she is caring for and enjoys being a hedgie and tenrec breeder.I super highly recommend Hedgehogville!!! If you are in the States and want to get them across the border, it is doable and you will find all the agencies you deal with friendly and very, very helpful.
