Pretty decent food but not as good as it used To be. no crunchy green beans. And it's really quite expensive. For what you get 4 quality of food.The staff were a little stand offish and it seemed cold and uninviting.This used to be our favorite place to go for family dinners.

For the $17.94 I payed for this buffet at lunchtime I expected a lot better quality of food and better selection. This venue offers a bleak interior decor reminiscent of the 80's punctuated with the massive aquarium at the front entrance. Most of the foods tasted the same with a a prominent spice dominating all the selections. The Won Ton soup was watery and bland. One good tasty item were the egg rolls, fresh', crispy and certainly delicious. All drinks and deserts were included and the selection is good.

Szechuan City Restaurant & Buffet
I tried their dinner buffet last night and it was very mediocre. I'd give it 3/5 stars. The food was a little bit bland and the selection was fairly run of the mill.However, the food I have ordered off their regular menu for takeout has been much, much better. I'd give it 4.25/5 stars.My recommendation is to skip the buffet and try ordering from the regular menu instead.

Overall experience was good.1. Customer service was very good.2. Restaurant is medium size3. Service is good4. Crowded during dinner buffet5. The buffet options are amazing but during the very busy time, a lot of them were empty. They did their best to try to refill them.6. I didn't see soft drink options. Some section of the machine were out of order. Not sure when they will get that fixed.7. Very limited Dessert options and were empty during busy time.The buffet dishes were very delicious. There is a balance of food options1. Few deep fried options2. Few vegetable options3. Two soup options4. Mussels dish5. Few seafood options6. Fried Noodle and Fried Rice availableI would come back again for the buffet. Maybe not during a very busy time.

We had a great time here. The dude was excellent and the staff were fun and helpful.Dune table cloths works have been nice to make the place look less like a fat food restaurant but all in all a great place.

Canadian style Chinese buffet. Seem very popular and a lot of people that day. The place is good if you are looking for the standard Canadian buffets. We found the food was not all that warm and below average for the price.

Szechuan City Restaurant & Buffet
We wanted a traditional “greasy spoon” buffet and thought this would be it. We were genuinely surprised at the overall quality and taste, the heightened precautions towards buffet health and safety and the ultra friendliness of the staff. We just really enjoyed it.

My parents bring our family here. It's our favourite buffet in Victoria.It's best to call ahead to reserve a table.I ate two big plates, wonton soup, coffee and pop. I'll go back again, for sure.
