Calvary Baptist Church
I have visited Calvary Baptist Church several times while working in St John's some years ago. I was so impressed by the heart and passion of the church for the city and Newfoundland and Labrador. In a city where sound biblical preaching is hard to find, Calvary Baptist Church is a gem you can trust and be part of. I highly recommend Calvary Baptist Church to anyone seeking a sound, Bible-preaching church.

Excellent Church. Focus on the Gospel and teachings of scripture. It holds to sound biblical teachings and doctrines.

Calvary Baptist Church
Does not publically state that they are a Calvinist church. Very nice people, pastor is nice and well read (through the lens of a reformed theological seminary) but it quickly turns into a pushing of the works of Calvinists like Spurgeon, Sproll, MacArthur, etc. If you are calvinist, it is a good church but if you aren't, brace yourself for indoctrination attempts.
