The Haney Public House

From my experience, they're a little under staffed but service was still good. I joined in the karaoke, noticed a few technical difficulties throughout the evening.Folks were very friendly towards me, and as a transwoman I appreciated the engagement I had!

There is no alcohol in the alcoholic drinks. We were in town for the week and wanted to go out for some karaoke and drinks for my hubby's bday. The Karaoke part was awesome, the lady that puts it together was great! I am not a drinker, so after ordering 5 drinks (4 Long Islands & 1 vodka coke), I would expect to feel something....nope. I am not a drinker (as in I have some Xmas party beverages and probably a few around the camp fire in the summer) 5 drinks should at least have me feeling tipsy. It is a shame that when you go out for an evening to have a great time and have some drinks you get ripped off. Things aren't cheep anymore so we were quite jilted. Do not recommend.

I have been to the Haney before and stopped going due to poor service. Went on NYE this year to see the bands that were playing (the bands were AWESOME!!) with friends and was expecting poor service. Was very happily surprised when the service turned out to be incredible...until our waitress signed off for the night and left us at 10:30. We were told that another waiting staff would take over but we didn't see another waitress or get another drink for the rest of the night. I understand it was a busy NYE but....So the entertainment was fantastic and the service started out really great but didn't last. Kind of reminded me why I stopped going there.

Great venue to host good local talents… great food and good bands and a great crowd and …. You’ll always have a fun night out at the Haney Public House

I feel bad giving a one star rating to one of my go-to pubs but I can't help it right now. Maybe the three double Caesars I drank in an hour while I waited and waited and waited and waited for the food I went for have put me in a cranky mood.It wasn't busy, for which I readily make an allowance.I was served my first drink, and I asked if I could order food because I arrived hungry. The very accommodating and delightful Melissa said she could take my order (she made and brought my drink) but that Christine was my server. I said it was okay, I'd wait for Christine. Which I did. By the time she arrived and I gave my food order I was ready for another drink.It's Monday night. I ordered the beef dip special for $10 (can't beat that, right?), loaded it with Swiss, mushrooms, and onions for another two or three bucks, and upgraded my fries to Caesar salad (again for another two or three bucks).After about half an hour in which Christine said she'd check on my order, my beef dip finally arrived, with fries. Christine apologized, saying the new hand held ordering system failed and she would get my salad and discount my bill.Bill? What bill? I was never given a bill, just handed the faulty (?) machine with an amount of around $40 and the option for a tip of 15, 18, 20 or 30%. Whaaaaat? Thirty percent tip????TIPS - To Insure Prompt Service.In this case, the tip should have been zero, but I gave her 20% because she was pleasant, apologetic, and perhaps it wasn't her fault.The Haney is a two block walk in my ghetto 'hood, with reasonable prices, pretty good food, entertainment, and friendly staff, which is why I typically spend several hundred dollars there every month.I know they took a hit during the pandemic, as we all did one way or another, but it's not the same.I'm a heavy drinker but to consume six one-ounce shots of vodka in an hour, at least four of them on an empty stomach on top of an appie beer at home to cut my appetite while I showered should even make someone as well-seasoned as I am a wee bit wobbly on my pins.But all it did was make me forgetful. I left my house keys on the table, was almost home in the 30 degree weather when I realized and walked back to find my table cleared and my keys still sitting there. On one hand, maybe their thinking was I'd soon realize, come back and look for them there, which is what happened, but on the other, what if someone else had just decided to pick them up and leave?I'd have felt better if they'd been put in a safe place until I returned.The Haney is a perfect example of getting what you pay for.Tonight it fully deserves its one star rating and I deserve be reminded of the lesson I was, which is that I'm better off eating and drinking at home or spending more to upgrade.

An extremely disappointing experience. We pre paid to get tickets to a concert which was over sold. We had reservations but were told there was standing room only. The promoter was running around stressed and disorganized - kind of like the whole event. We waited 20 minutes before managing to flag down for a waitress. Once we ordered the drinks, we then waited for another 45 minutes but received no drinks....so we left 10 songs into. Unfortunately people were doing sound checks and adjustments while the band was playing which was throwing off the sound...overall a horrible experience...the Door man was very apologetic.

Went for a concert band night. Was fantastic. Bar food and great music. Spent most of the night there. Met some good people and will be back for another fun night very soon

$9 burgers on Sunday can't be beat!!! The good is really good for a neighborhood pub. $3 dog treats made by the chef on the menu too, which is adorable.
