Denali Lawncare & Snow Removal

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. We had a contract to clean our driveway and hand shovel the path/ steps for our front door area. Twice they came to only clean our driveway and not the pathway infront of our door , the 1st time said shes coming and no one came. The 2nd time she kept saying for 3 days some one is on their way to clean, but again, no one came. I kept following up and she stopped answering.. after 5 days I sent her a message explaining my frustrations and demanding a refund, and she never replied. A different family member tried to call her 5 times within this day today and they kept cutting the call. Today, they came to clean everyones driveway in my neighbourhood and not ours. They have not returned our money or confirmed our cancellation of our contract with them. I sent her another message today to follow up, and no response. Im out hundreds of dollars for no service. DO NOT go with this company. Absolutely unprofessional and will be going through the bad business bureau to deal with this going forward.

I’ve had several snow clearing services, some good and some not so good, but I’ve never encountered one that simply didn’t want to do the job they’d been paid to do. Reading other reviews this is apparently a pattern.My past experience was that – generally – the services will come around in the early morning after a snowfall, to get you out to work ok, then come back at the end of the day to clear up the city plow's windrow. So two visits, unless the city windrow was small and didn’t need the extra visit.Denali is the only service I’ve encountered that explicitly waits for the city plow to go by before they come the first time. As a result we were routinely the last laneway cleared of snow in our neighbourhood.Every other service had their laneways done and ours would still not be cleared. Even when the city plow went by around mid-afternoon we still weren’t cleared until 5 or 6 PM. The other laneways in our neighbourhood would be clear of snow, and I mean clear to the ground, because the sun would’ve had time to melt the residue, and ours was still untouched.Communication, initially very good when we wanted to hire Denali, became poor when we wanted to clarify our expectations. All the “we’re your neighbours so we go the extra mile for our faithful wonderful clients” didn’t amount to much when I asked for the apparently unreasonable task of removing the snow from our driveway before it was driven over and compacted throughout the day.Just because I CAN drive my truck through the snow doesn’t mean that I want to… isn’t that why I hired a plowing service? If Denali’s stated goal is to “ensure clients can safely enter and exit their properties,” I’m not sure how me having to blast my way through the snow without really looking, so as to not get stuck, is safe.Hire someone else.

I started using Denali for snow removal last year. I'm very happy with the service. After the first snow storm, the driver missed our house since we were a new customer. When I contacted the office, they answered my call right away. And the driver came to clean our driveway within 10 minutes. The office even reached out to me half a hour later to check with me if the driver came.

Denali has been a consistently reliable provider of our snow removal needs for the past 2 years. We have looked at other snow removal companies, but none offer the level of high level of customer service that Denali offers. I highly recommend their services! You won't be disappointed!

Terrible service.TL;DRAwful experience, hire anybody else because this company does not careI called today at 430pm because our driveway was not cleared from last night's snow (they had all day to clear it since we are at work). Jess said she would send someone tonight and call me back or email to give me a rough timeframe so I could move our cars out of the way. It's now after 8pm and as usual no call back, no email. I tried calling and of course now they are closed.Update : they never sent someone because Jess 'changed her mind' no joke, that's what she said and told me my contract was up and I'd have to pay more! - even though the snow was only cleared on the two occasions listed below.Thanks for nothing!Original review :When I call for help all I get is a bunch of excuses and lies about 'driver logs'. The only TWO times they cleared my driveway was once when they sold me the service and once when I had to call 3 times and beg them to come do the work. When I call for help Jess says she'll send someone over to clear the snow that is blocking our cars in.No one shows up and I have to call back three times and we were late for work.I end up having to dig my cars out by hand.Today we left for work and no one came by to clear the driveway all day. Got home and it was still a mess, neighbours driveway was nicely cleared by Kodiak.Apparently they sent out trucks last night right after it snowed (while we were sleeping?) and didn't bother sending any trucks out today... All the other companies are out today working.My neighbour has Kodiak and his driveway is always well managed. I'll be hiring them next year instead.

Very impressed with Denali Snow Removal, I had to head out of town last minute for an extended amount of time and Denali Snow really showed that they are not just a business but a community partner. As I did not have a contract in place they went above and beyond to ensure my pregnant wife did not have to worry about the driveway while I was away!Again thank you for all the help!!Highly recommend them!

Fast efficient service! Jess was very quick to respond to my request for a one time clearing of our driveway when we were not able to shovel it ourselves. When we had another snowfall, I emailed to request snow removal and got a response within minutes! I would recommend using them as they are a local family owned business. :)

We have used Denali Snow Removal for the past 2 years. We have been very pleased with the service, snow has been removed in a timely manner and pricing was super reasonable. We have already signed up for our 3rd season!

This is not a competitor whatsoever. Denali has not resolved the issues at hand. You need only look at other reviews to see there is a trend...very disappointed in the lack of snow removal service and appalled with the handling of the situation. Not only have they repeatedly forgotten my driveway but handling the situation is beyond bad business. Committing to great service and then completely failing is not even the worst part. Saying that they will refund the prorated balance of the winter and then not providing the refund and then ignoring emails and continuing to forget the driveway. Shame on Denali.

Denali was able to help us on very short notice, and get us out of a bind, we had been unable to address snow-clearing due to family illness. They are really nice, great work and service, very customer oriented. 5 star rating!
