Oxford Learning York Mills

I was in search for tutoring for my daughters, I have contacted 3 places to do an assessment, unfortunately I had a bad experience with this Oxford Location at York Mills, first when I contacted this location, Sundip returned my call a few days later, ask for my email (I started to received a bunch of newsletter from Oxford which I did not sign for it) and after some back and forth we were able to scheduled an assessment day (August 03rd) for my daughters. My first impression is that the place is not well maintained, it was hot, and the first thing Sundip requested was $100 payment for the assessment, which he never mentioned on the phone, nevertheless, I was already there, I asked can I pay in cheque, he says yes, as I was writing the cheque he started to complain about me paying him in cheque. While my daughters were doing the assessment, they mentioned that Sundip raised his voice to the tutors on a disrespectful manner to leave the windows closed. The assessment was completed and Sundip mentioned he will send the results the following day Thu Aug 04, he called me that Thursday to let me know that he was having concern that the cheque was going to bounced and he was requesting another payment of $100 that will be returned in a later day, which I refused to do for obvious reasons, then he went to say that the assessment report will not be sent until the cheque is clear in his account, and will take like a week. Cheque was cashed out the same date per my bank statements; After reminding Sundip via email on Friday Aug 12 that the cheque was cashed out on Thu Aug 04th to send the reports, he finally had the decency to send the reports Mon Aug 15th - I have to say not a great experience, bad customer service and not a great environment for the kids to learn. Stay away from this place.I had interviewed other 2 Tutor places around the area, my daughters completed the assessment as well, and I am happy to report that the experience was totally different, first the treatment and respect was there from the beginning, second the assessment was free of charge, third the assessment results were explain in detail via zoom meeting alongside with next steps and area of focus for my daughters with a very detailed plan.I normally don't post reviews in Google, however, this one was necessary, my advise to you as a reader, do your due diligence, don't settle to the first place you go to, lots of options in the area. My child has been benefiting greatly from Oxford Learning. The owner Sundip, and his manager Amy do a great job of finding great tutors such as Leeor and Don. All of them care a lot for the children’s development. Thanks.

We have had a great experience with our two boys, ages 11 and 9 for the last 4 years. They have been going 2 days a week to focus on French, Math and reading. The virtual experience has been extremely effective and fun. Amy did a great job creating an engaging environment for learning. They have been working hard and have made such great progress. Their term 1 report cards were fantastic. Thank you Sundip and Amy!

I am very glad we finally find this place to have my two kids get their extra help on their study. Going to this place and studying with their own tutors is a joyful thing for my kids. The tutors are very professional and, most importantly, very patient. I noticed that my kids are improved a lot during last whole year study in Oxford Leaning York Mills, both math and language. The manager here is very kind and very experienced gentleman, who has been in kids' education for decades. Strongly recommend to talk to him first if you want find you kids a great place to improve their study after school.

I just saw a review that is completely different from our experience, so felt compelled to amend our review we posted a review a couple years ago. Our 3rd kid is off at Queen's University and our youngest has just started high school. All 4 of our kids have attended this location, believe we were one of the first clients for Sundip. In addition to having a very positive impact on the academic side for our kids (both in French and English), they are also very flexible with working directly with our kids on scheduling/attendance so they learn the equally important skill of time management. They call our kids directly if they are not at the session a few minutes after the start time, then call us if the kids don't pick-up the phone. We are flexible with changing times as needed as they are with accommodating our kids other activities.

Highly recommended. Kids usually does not like to have extra classes but for Oxford Learning is completely different, my son loves to join the class, he has more self-confidence for his writing since he has joined Oxford. Everything is organized during the class.

The Oxford Learning York Mills provides great academic support to my son that is enrolled in the program since last year. I am especially grateful to English teacher Foster that greatly contributed to Dominic progress as well to Math teachers and to Amy and Sundip for their professional support. We tried other locations in the past years but quality support that my son receives at Oxford York Mills is exceptional.

I am very thankful that my daughter now 8 years old joined Oxford Learning last year, Sundip and Amy have been incredibly warm, welcoming and supportive to my daughter. She started with math and English and now she is having virtual lesson three times a week focusing on French and Math. She started French only 6 months ago from zero knowledge to now she can use more French to communicate in class. Her math has improved a lot from addition and subtraction to now multiplication and division. Thank you Sundip and Amy, I would highly recommend Oxford Learning York Mills.

I am very pleased with Oxford Learning York Mills and their ongoing support and encouragement of my 2 children. The Center has a warm and welcoming learning environment. My children look forward to their weekly visits there. The teachers are excellent and are highly responsive to my children's unique learning styles. My kids have shown steady progress over the past years with their reading, writing and Math.“Learning How To Learn” has been so helpful to the children, they are so confident and happy going to school.Moreover they are always so accommodating in terms of scheduling . I feel very fortunate to have found Oxford Learning - York Mills for my kids.

My daughter Madison has been a student at Oxford for just over a year - we tried many different tutoring services without any success. The tutors she has worked with at Oxford have been so influential in Madison’s success! I thought the online leaning would be tricky - but they were able to easily adapt - and Madison continues to do well. We’re very happy with Oxford at Yorkmills! Sundip and his team have been very communicative about Madison’s progress and extremely adaptable during these difficult times of social distancing. Highly recommended!
