I've never had a bad experience in this store. Staff are kind and helpful. They let me wander around and ask for help when I need it. Most of the time, I find what I am looking for. I like the gift area too and the garden centre is the spring.

Very friendly staff. Found what we were looking for and more. Employees even gave us a few free outfits for our baby to wear!

We were not given great service today. The store was fantastic and the younger gentleman that worked at the front cash was fantastic. The older gentleman in at the back counter was very rude and did was not interested in helping us at all. It was obvious we were from out of town and he couldn't be bothered. I would go back to the store but the one star is for the guy in the back that was rude and unhelpful.

My favourite hardware store on the island. I'll travel from Gore Bay to go here for the excellent service and expertise. They almost always have what we need and if not they'll order it in!

Update: upon hearing about this incident the owner called me to explain the situation. He has went above and beyond to make amends and I do appreciate that. By reaching out to me it does show that the owners do care about their customers. As do most of the staff. I usually receive excellent service and great advice for my “little projects”.I first opened an account at this store over ten years ago. I have bought everything from paint, flooring to all the materials to redo my roof. In fact I have redone every room in my house and bought everything at this store to do so. I have always been happy with the service until today. In early January I ordered (at the store) backsplash tile, just a few to cover a small area. Loved the tile so I decided to order 15 more to do the entire backsplash. Got the wrong ones. No big deal. Returned to the store with the original tiles and the new different tiles. First I was told that there was no way I ordered the original three tiles there despite it being in a box labelled Mindemoya home hardware. I insisted I did. Again was told there was no way they’ve never seen them before. Anyways asked if they could order the same ones again. The worker (who I later found out is the manager) said she wasn’t sure as they have never had them there and I must have brought the sample in with me. Despite me insisting that I found the sample there I was told I couldn’t have. So after being accused of lying not only once but twice I did lose my composure. It is terrible customer service to tell customers they are lying. Will return only to get my money back for the tiles I paid for and left there and to close my account. I try to shop and support local but I will gladly drive elsewhere now.

The service is top shelf. The selection is good. Clean store, good parking, room to bring a trailer. The staff are all aces if they don't know about something directly they get you someone who does. One of my go to places when I need building materials, tools, etc
