We stayed for 4 nights at the end of September.Nice lake, quiet surroundings ,coming from the city it's a nice break except for the highway traffic. Clean sites, nice hosts, peaceful at night.Needs more hiking trails, more access to the water, bring firewood since there's none on site, when we were here,Once they've finished the newer part for tenting it will be a nice place. Hopefully when they're done there will be firepits and picnic tables.Nice seeing the 2 beautiful swans that live here, many people come to fish for the day and always bring some back.If you want to be away from city life it's a great place to stay. Close enough but also far away enough.

Very nice in November with no snow on the ground, the noise the otters make hitting the ice and swimming under it is nothing I've ever heard before. The place was empty with minor highway noise. Those otters are So cute when they come up for air lol

Wow! Beautiful lake and campsite. We were planning on staying at the summit lake campground but when we arrived were a bit disappointed by summit lake so we drove down the road and found (in our opinion) a far better camping area. No reservations allowed! Yay! Everyone has the same opportunity to get a nice site, and they're all nice. You can't bring your gas motor onto the lake but the site operator explained that we could cover the leg and run our little fishing boat with an electric motor. Great fishing the kids caught lots of brook and rainbow trout. Swimming was great for the kids too!No electrical hookups or potable water available but there are pit toilets.Dave is an awesome site host! Highly recommend and will return.

Beautiful and well maintained sites. The host Dave was excellent; very friendly. Definitely the best host we have come across in our travels. Very dog friendly. Has a creek running through some of the sites which adds another element to the stay. Has eco friendly camping for the mountain bikers and hikers to pitch a pop tent or hammock tent with a share for pit and picnic table. Highly recommend and will be back!
