My wife had the butter chicken bowl and I had the rib eye with prawns. The food was excellent, especially the steak.Only downfall was that our server was not the friendliest or most attentive. Also, ordered a slice of carrot cake to go that was pretty dry..Overall, would recommend it though. Lively atmosphere and enjoyed the evening.

Cedars was a pretty good family experience. They had some good local beer options and the Honey Garlic wings were good. The littles liked their Pizzas a lot. The Mussels were tasty. I wasnt overly a fan of the Salmon Wellington, unless you like your Salmon well done. Not much flavor without the sauce". The items that got this to a 4 star from a 3

We took our daughter and her family out for her birthday dinner there. Going out with little twins and a young child can be overwhelming but the staff were incredible with all of us. The service was fantastic and all of the meals were great- very flavorful and very reasonably priced. This restaurant is great for both fine dining and for families. Will recommend it to others for sure!

Very satisfied with this dining experience! We walked over to this place from a local resort. The staff were professional and friendly. The food absolutely blew us away once it got to the table. Didn't have to wait long either! Looks like everything was homemade and very big portions. Could have used a bit more au jus" with the beef dip...but isn't that always the case? Would come back again!"

Nice and spacious, well laid out to allow easy conversation without feeling like you're disturbing the tables near you. The service is very good; Adam was friendly and made us feel at home, without coming across as overly familiar; excellent balance for someone in the service industry. The food is delicious and presentation just made us want to dive right in! I'm lucky to have the opportunity to take pics at all! Thanks for a perfect evening that capped off a pretty good day overall! Great to be out with family!

My family and I enjoyed brunch at Cedars Restaurant & Lounge over the long weekend and it was the tastiest brunch we had on the island! They are super accommodating with dietary restrictions and were kind enough to give us alternatives for dairy and meat choices so we could enjoy the menu! I do recommend making reservations as it tends to be quite busy, although we had a reservation at 10:30 AM we did not get our food until 11:40 AM due to the rush.

Beautiful, spacious dining area. Everything was clean and tidy, and any table that had a party leaving, was bussed almost immediately. The staff were very friendly towards us and our two children.We ate here for breakfast. My son’s pancakes were done well. My wife’s smoked salmon Benedict was prepared exactly how she wanted the eggs poached. She thought there was a tad too much of a vinegary taste to them. The overall flavours were good but not great. My breakfast poutine was similar. Nothing wrong with the item itself but flavour wise was slightly underwhelming.As for price point, maybe a hair on the pricey side but maybe just the new norm.I would happily eat here again because I feel that with this level of preparation, consistency is at the forefront. Some flair or spice added to the menu would be a home run in my books.

Father's day, I expected one experience and received a totally different one! The restaurant was busy but not overly, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was done to request and the we were all pleasantly surprised that the price was not as high as one might think. Thank you!

My gf and I came to Parksville for a summer vacation and chose to stay at a nearby resort. We were seated not long after walking in, at around 10 am for their brunch; however, the table that was first given to us had a lot of food scraps and garbage on the floor, with flies flying around there too. We told our hostess about the food scraps and she thanked us for letting her know, and placed us at another table nearby.Our server immediately took our drinks order, which was great. The drinks came not long after, but then we were ignored for an hour. I understand that they may have been busy, but our server kept walking past us and did not acknowledge us further. At around 11, he swung by and took our order, then left. Food came out not long after and it was pretty good, but the food scraps on the floor at the other table was still there and it didn’t seem like it was going to get cleaned any time soon.Overall, the food was great and service was pretty good too, but the dirtiness was a turn off at a supposed high-tier restaurant for the area.
