A Clock Repair Store

Peter expertly packed, transported, unpacked and reassembled an 8-foot tall grandfather clock that has been in our family for over 225 years. He told us what he could of its probable history, assessed needed repairs and adjustments, and instructed us on how to properly care for it. Highly recommended.

Pete is a very nice guy but can't be trusted. I dropped my clock off at the end of March 2022 and paid in full for expedited service which I was told would be 3-6 months. He cashed my check and today is November 15th and I have not heard a word from him. I've called multiple times and left VM'S, sent a letter and stopped at his shop twice calling from the door as the sign instructs. The clock has significant sentimental value and while I would love to get it back in working order, it appears I'll never get it back at all and am out several hundred dollars. Shame on me for paying in advance....lesson learned! Never, I repeat never take your clock here....you may never see it again.

Peter did a wonderful repair on our 20 year old grandfather clock. He came to our home within days of our initial service call. When the mechanism came back repaired he provided us with interesting information about our particular clock. He put all parts back in and the clock is working better than ever and keeping perfect time.

My wife took my Cuckoo clock to Pete last May asking if it could be repaired before father's day. He claimed it would be difficult to get it done that quickly but if she paid upfront he would try. Here we are almost eight months later and still nothing. My wife is upset thinking he's ripped her off and I've made several calls to which he's never responded to. He did answer twice but blew off my wife's concerns and just gave me excuses with an arrogant attitude. I spoke with him over two weeks ago where he claimed he had to take another clock in because he just couldn't tell the woman no but mine was on the bench. He said it would be ready for pickup today 1/7/22 so I said I was coming in for either the repaired clock or a refund for my wife. Well in all of Peters professionalism, not only was nobody there but he didn't answer my call or again return it. The lengthy repair time wouldn't be a problem if Pete would be upfront with customers and not take people's money upfront if he has no intention of actually expediting service. Clearly he doesn't care about the time people waste trying to get in touch with him or the fact my wife is worried he's ripped her off.Update, I was contacted by Pete on 1/12 and set up another appointment to pick up my clock on 1/13. He not only did an amazing job but took the time to teach me how it should be transported. The clock really does look and run like new. I raised my rating to three stars from one because he did such a great job. Hopefully Pete can maybe get a little more organized in the future so the customer service side can match his fine craftsmanship.

Peter did a fabulous job dismantling, cleaning and repairing this over 100 year old grandfather clock I purchased from an estate sale. It keeps time precisely, better than any of my clocks! He is only one of few with the talent and expertise to work on these type clocks. Peter also shared his vast knowledge of clock working and has a wonderful personality. Provided Peter my clock with half money down to both clean and repair/replace if necessary items necessary to restore clock back to working order. I provided him the deposit and the check in 2019 and was told it could take 6 to 12 months to repair. I called 18 months later and was told he was out of work for a bit but would get right on it and have it ready for me within a month. I called a few months later and was told at that time he was away and during that conversation he promised to get right on it when he returned and that he would call me shortly to let me know when I could pick up the clock. It became clear to me that the clock was never going yo be repaired and that all of the conversations and promises provided to me were Peters “standard operating procedures” for the way he conducts business and treats his customers. I’m glad I was able to get my clock back, Peter you’re a swindler and a fraud you took my money and provided me with nothing in return and didn’t even have the decency to offer a refund for the services you neglected to provide.

I recently had my late 1890’s Regulator School House Clock repaired at Peter’s “A Clock Repair Store. It has run for over a century in our family. Needless to say, it has been passed down in our family. Naturally, when I wanted it repaired I took it to Peter, the clock guru. It did need much work and I had certainly hoped it could even be repaired as some parts had to be crafted by him. He was confident that he could do this job and I turned it over. I was returned to me recently and it was beautiful. He told me about some tips I found valuable in running this clock, hopefully for yet another generation. He was precise, very friendly, talked about my families’ treasure. It was even waxed professionally for me when I came to fix it up. Bravo Peter! I had to write a great review.

Peter did a great job on my New England Grandfather wall Clock. I inherited the clock from my parent's and is over 60 years old. It's working great and the chimes sound better than I remember as a child. The chains looked new after he ultrasonically cleaned them. I look forward to passing this family heirloom on to my daughter someday. I would use his services again in a heartbeat.

Peter did a great job repairing our Grandfather Clock that sits in the lobby as well as an Antique mantel clock. We were so pleased that we just dropped of an antique Banjo clock for repair. He is a craftsman and takes pride in his work.
