Thistle and Thorne Weddings

I can confidently say that we couldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams without Jodie there. Jodie is friendly, professional, unbelievably helpful and seemingly totally unperturbed at every and any speed bump on our wedding day. Not only that, but she made everyone feel welcome and at home. After planning a wedding for the first time I now see how many things I hadn’t even factored in that Jodie supported with. Any stressful or unexpected things that came up were handled with tact, compassion and grace. Thank you Jodie for being a part of a day we’ll cherish forever!

Jodie is an absolutely delightful human/wedding planner extraordinaire. Despite having to delay and replan our wedding multiple times over the course of several years due to COVID, Jodie continued to work tirelessly for us and made our day absolutely perfect. She is sweet, funny, organized, creative, has an amazing team and has a super cute dog sidekick who regularly took part in our meetings.Though she had never planned a wedding in the Tofino area before, Jodie managed to find us the most amazing local vendors to partner with after we decided it was the spot for us. During the pandemic, my husband and I also moved to Europe, and despite the 9 hour time difference between our new home and BC, Jodie and I still managed to work together and figure out all of the pandemic related quirks and restrictions we had to navigate to get all of our guests in and out of Canada. She was also extremely considerate of all of my many chronic health issues, and made me feel incredibly safe despite hosting the wedding during the tail-end of the pandemic.She also was one of the very few vendors who didn't increase her fees for us to reflect her new 2022 pricing, despite the fact that we originally contracted her in early 2020, which was amazing, and saved us from a lot of unexpected costs!She and her team also totally saved us from near disaster - a day before the wedding, we learned that the person who was responsible for music came down with COVID and would no longer be able to attend. Despite this being well outside of her and her team's contracted duties, Jodie stepped up to the plate and made sure our music was played right on schedule. Literally, a lifesaver. She also handcrafted our guest's place card holders herself, like the true renaissance woman she is!I honestly can't recommend Thistle and Thorne highly enough. Jodie is phenomenal, and because of her, our day was as beautiful as we could have ever hoped for. Thank you for being so amazing, Jodie!! We absolutely love you to bits <3

Jodie was an incredible day of coordinator. From the moment we met, we really liked her energy and felt like our wedding would be in good hands (and we were right!)Our family was really impressed with her and since the wedding have raved non stop about how diligent, thoughtful and amazing she was on the day.From calming nerves to trying to figure out DJ equipment, Jodie was there and worked really hard to give us the magical day we had planned.As stressful as weddings can be, we’d do it all over again, with Jodie by our side.

Having to deal with everything Covid has been so challenging for us but Jodie has been there with us every step of the way and through EVERY modification and change! She has gone above and beyond to ensure that despite everything, our wedding day was special and is such an amazing person to work with. Her positive attitude, flexibility, professionalism, quick response time and organization is phenomenal! Anytime I felt even the slightest bit stressed she would b there to ease my mind. My husband and I just got married on June 17 :) Jodie was an absolute dream to work with!! She supported us every step of the way through planning. She answered emails promptly and so thoroughly. I constantly had questions for her and she was so so helpful with answering. She kept us in check with our budget and offered budget friendlier options at times. She recommended lots of vendors and everyone that we booked through her was absolutely incredible. She worked so so hard on our wedding day and made the day absolutely seamless. She is so friendly, so adaptable and very creative ! Not to mention just an overall incredible human being! Hiring Jodie was the best decision we made !!!

I hired Jodie to do partial planning for our wedding because of budget, and in hindsight; I should have hired Jodie for full wedding planning! Despite that, Jodie spend extra time to helped find us our perfect venue and guided us through the wedding planning process. On the day of, Jodie and her team completely understood my vision, theme, and carried everything out perfectly. I was completely stress free, I did not make any decisions that day, or knew of any fires" that might have happened. Her team was the sweetest

Can't say enough amazing things about Jodie! After our wedding plans changed due to Covid, we were so lucky to have found a new venue and wedding coordinator on very short notice. Jodie worked her magic, and made our small 30 person wedding at Highgate Hills Retreat come to life! She had so much knowledge, professionalism, and creativity. Her easy going personality fit perfectly with our vibe, and we could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator!

I can't say enough about how amazing or experience with Jodie was. My new husband and Iive up North and had a dream to get married down south. Planning a wedding 8 hours away during a pandemic seemed like a pretty tall order. Jodie made everything possible. She has every detail thought of and is so supportive to bring your dreams to life. I can honestly say you need Jodie, she will bring everything you could hope for and more to your wedding planning and executing experience. We couldn't be more thankful for everything she did!

With only two month’s to plan our wedding in the middle of a pandemic Jodie’s help was invaluable.It was so wonderful to be able to sit back and enjoy the day knowing that Jodie was making sure everything went on as we had planned.We were so glad to have her there to discreetly guide us through our reception when we were in a happy fog; we wouldn’t have known what to do without her there. Where do we even start!? We can’t imagine our wedding without Jodie. She was a lifeline throughout the entire process, an incredible wealth of knowledge as we planned several versions of the wedding through the pandemic, and our number one hype-woman. Jodie, thank you for entertaining all of our crazy ideas (all the way down to the river in knee-deep snow) and for becoming a friend along the way! We truly connected and you helped us plan a wedding that captured everything we stand for and everything we love. We were able to enjoy every minute of the day because we knew Jodie was taking care of the details in the background and making sure everything ran smoothly. She took care of all things we didn’t even notice, and that’s the joy of having a planner. I cannot recommend her enough, she is the creative problem-solver you want in your corner on your wedding day.
