This is a world class store for people interested in mycology. They sell books, posters, dried mushrooms, tools and starter kits. We bought Blue Oyster spawn dowels and will be trying to start a colony in a birch log this weekend.

I was walking down boulevard Saint Denis when I notice Mycoboutique. Having recently been edified on the versatility and importance of mushrooms I was fascinated to see an entire store devoted to the fungi. With a wide variety of offerings, Mycoboutique is a one stop shop for all fungal needs. I felt like walking in there was like watching the film fantastic Fungi on netflix. They have Mushrooms ready to eat, growing kits, seeds and all other mushroom activities. I appreciated how knowledgeable the staff member was, able to answer all my mushroom related inquiries. I made it home with this bag of chanterlle mushrooms which I then prepared into an exquisite dish. It is reassuring to see a store like this operating in Montreal. The mushroom revolution is upon us.

Amazing spot for fans of mushrooms (obviously). On top of offering excursions /activities, they have a great selection of books on how to recognize, pick, grow, cook and ferment mushrooms, as well as the tools necessary to do pretty much all of these things (growing kits, knives, brushes, jars, etc). They also have a great selection of dried mushrooms and some fresh ones according to the season, plus some delicious Chanterelle Kimchee and other delicacies.The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly.

It always amazes me that a store could be based upon 1 subject and make money. They have all kinds of growing kits and edible mushrooms. There are books, puzzles, fabric, posters, etc. All about mushrooms. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful as well as friendly. I love it all! I invite everyone to go have a look. You will be pleasantly surprised.
