The Grizzly House
Very cool experience. I had a chicken tortellini soup and the cheese fondue for starters. I then had elk, venison, beef, ostrich, Buffalo and wild boar on the hot stone with their sampling of sauces. Cooking on the hot stone was awesome although beware, the bitter gets EVERYWHERE. My phone, which was on the table, and all our drink cups and napkins were covered in butter grease by the time we were done! This meal was amazing and will definitely go back when next in Banff

The only reason I'm giving the Atmosphere a 4 star is because of the lack of light! It is VERY dark in this restaurant which is nice for ambiance however, I had to eat several pieces of raw seafood because I couldn't see if they were cooked enough for my liking! Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and our waiter was fantastic.

What a place! It's no wonder The Grizzly House remains such a hit.The staff is a constant blur, attending to, teaching, and interacting to help ensure their customers have the experience they have been promised. They are well trained and happy. Our staff member Jess was top 10 material. She worked herself silly, buzzing around her table area, all the while with a wonderful smile. Always knowing when we needed to start our next course and being there ready to help. The place is lucky to have her.After we completed our adventure, a quick visit to the bathroom was in order before taking off. By the time I walked back by our table, others were beginning their journey already. They don't mess around here. They take care of you and quickly get ready for the never-ending line of patrons coming in.The 4 course meal was an explosion of yummy tastes and experiences.Everyone around us seemed to be having a grand time, and it showed.Even the soundtrack that filtered throughout the dining area was spot on and added to the fun.Well done, Grizzly House. Well done!

This is one of the best, if not the best fondue restaurants that I’ve ever visited. The restaurant has been open since 1967 and still looks the same way it did back then. Which is classic and awesome.The food is simply outstanding and all the different fondue options were delicious. They have numerous fondue options so you are definitely likely to find something that you would like. I highly recommend the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue.

Wow ! What an amazing experience. This place has great fondu options and Exotic meats ! We cooked our meal at our table frying in hot oil and on a hot black stone. Super fun ! A must try in Banff. Yum !!

A lovely experience, Suzanne was amazing and super friendly. She even gave as a few recommendations for activities to do in the area. We are visiting from Ontario and we enjoyed this place a lot.Food is 4 stars only because the meat portion is small

This is a great place for a special event. (Have to admit we used to go here 30 years ago after a day of skiing. Silent movies played on the wall. Pasta was cheap and the old phones on the tables let you connect with other diners. So much fun. )This is now a more formal place. Phones didn't work, but the food was great. We ordered the lobster/ beef and the scallop/ beef fondue that we ended up cooking on hot stones. ( Best way to do seafood). This came with soup, a cheese fondue and then followed with a chocolate fondue.Our waiter, David, was very friendly and helpful.I would recommend everything here but the coffee.

If I could give 10 stars for service, I would. Dave was amazing! Very interactive and made the whole experience unforgettable. Food was delicious!! Wish there were more options than just bread for cheese fondue. The dessert - chocolate fondue - was one of the best I've ever tasted!!Absolutely a must if you're anywhere near banff!!

Great portion sizes and overall experience! We loved our dinners and cooking food on the stone. Very cozy and not super crowded when we went for lunch. Great value for the price.
