Good place to learn french in Edmonton

Just started the A2 conversation class at Alliance Francaise in Edmonton. Excellent !! Just what I need to get back into a neglected endeavour.Really enjoying it. Marie - la professeur - is great !!! Well done AF !!!June 14-2016Two more classes left, and I need more. Registered for the next session. Yeah !!

Very comfortable learning environment. All the staff and instructors are so friendly. They provide many activities to help get you engaged with the culture and language. Learning is done with out the stress and pressures.

Went to their movie night event and had so much fun! The staff was so nice and welcoming. They put on many events and make you feel comfortable. I recommend to anyone! Julie and Juliette are so friendly :)

Un lieu de rencontre très convivial, qui propose des cours et des activités en français. Je rencontre beaucoup de gens intéressants et cultivés. Pour un premier contact, je recommande de venir participer à l'activité café-croissant tous les premiers dimanches du mois à 10h30. À bientôt à l'Alliance française!

I am not the first person learning a foreign language to notice that speaking is one of the hardest skills to master (Even in the native language, carrying a conversation requires practice and confidence!), so I was really glad for the opportunity to enroll in the 'A2 Interaction and Role Play.' Conversation topics in this course are centered around useful everyday situations. You get plenty of opportunity to practice and interact with others in a relaxed, fun, and friendly atmosphere, and your confidence develops along. Marie is an effective and enthusiastic teacher committed to her students' advancement -- I am lucky to have her as a private tutor as well. A great deal of thought goes into planning each session, so that each hour and a half is a sojourn to a new French-speaking place -- even your homework is fun! I look forward to our weekly meetings and would definitely sign up for a similar course again.

Worst place ever! Nobody’s there to respond you once you pay their fees, also they aren’t ready to listen or understand your problem. Very much rigid & stubborn attitude! Would never recommend anyone to be here. Also, before even taking their french class, they refuse to even transfer the credits (paid fees) for next year, when I was not even asking for a refund. In long run this greediness will take them nowhere.

They basically just take you through exercises. Took a class with Eva and wish there was more engagement and less going through slides. It was hard to get through 3 hours like that.
