What an amazing trip! From start to finish Poor Michael's Emporium was a pleasure to experience. Our dog loved sunbathing on the patio while my husband and I devoured the delicious soup's of the day. I found five books that I am immensely looking forward to delving into. There was a wide selection of book genres and great deals! I would encourage any lover of books to check this place off your bucket list!

A beautiful piece of perfection! If you love books, or art, or clothes, or crafts, or jewellery, or coffee, or food, then do yourself a favour and spend some time in this store. Amazing atmosphere and visually stunning. Picked up some great books and some art, and then we went back the next day for more! Love this place so much!

What a gem of a place. We had the privilege of finding Poor Michael's Emporium and were instantly drawn to it. We've enjoyed great coffees while looking at local art and used books. We attended a concert there this evening that was fantastic. The whole family (except my 11 year old son) LOVES it there!

This is a great used bookstore. Each time I have visited I have found a rare printing of a book I have wanted in my collection. This last visit I found a rare first printing of a science fiction book from more than 25 years previous.Great baked desserts and coffees. Now they are licensed so this place might actually be a slice of heaven hiding in rural Manitoba.

I love the food, books, decor, records and all the specialty things they have! Pottery, hand carved and painted furniture, hand woven baskets, kids stuff, clothing, jewelry, Tibetan singing Bowls and all sorts of amazing things! Fair trade chocolate too! You just can't miss a visit. Have a coffee or a bowl of home made soup or piece of quiche or cheese cake. Honestly, stop in!

Amazing atmosphere minutes away from Riding Mountain National Park. Get your coffee here instead of at the Upper Cup — it’s worth the drive and the coffees are better and cheaper. Staff and owners treat you like guests in their home. I cannot have the food but the cold drinks are great with wonderful glasses to drink from. Bookstore is a classic blast from my past as I came there as a kid. Glad this place is still booming.
