Excellent doctor, wish he had room in his family practice.

I was referred to Dr. Lemke for an in-person appointment on October 13th. It was meant to be a phone appointment to discuss pain in my toe and foot, but was quickly changed to in-person without telling me why it was rescheduled.On the day of the appointment, I was in the waiting room for over an hour (appointment was set for 2:15/2:30, I wasn't seen until 3:15pm).As nice as Dr. Lemke was, I felt he didn't take me seriously. He didn't wear gloves during the exam of my foot, brushed off most of my concerns (saying that because my foot wasn't visibly inflamed, there didn't seem to be an issue or visible source of pain/trauma) And when I mentioned my ingrown nail, Lemke's only suggestion was to permanently remove the entire nail, which I was obviously hesitant on.I left in tears with no answers. After 12 days of increasing agony and limping (I couldn't put any weight on my foot), I wound up in ER, where I was finally told from a 5 minute evaluation that I had an infection in my bone and required over a week of heavy duty antibiotics. After another hospital trip on the 8th and a diagnosis of a potential stress fracture, I was approved for a wedge excision for November 25th under another specialist.I don't think I can properly word how upset I am that I wasn't taken seriously by Dr. Lemke when my pain first flared up.

Been going to this family practice since I was a little, and about to have my first kid with the same practitioner. The team is super caring and always treat me as family.

Been my doctor since I was 8 years old now 37. Extremely knowledgeable, caring, doesn't rush you. Best doctor I've heard of in my opinion.
