Wonderful, fresh food, simply delicious! We asked for it spicy and we got it spicy! Don't miss the freshly grilled skewers.

I am Chinese and I have eaten in multiple northern Chinese restaurants in China and I have to say this place is REALLY authentic when it comes to taste. This is true Chinese food! I have not had this since leaving China. Please give this place a chance, it is not you typical Canadian-Chinese food, it is the REAL DEAL. It is very unfortunately located in such a strange place that people in the area may not appreciate the complex flavors because they are so foreign but let me assure you they also have simple dishes that are must tries for any foodie. We had their Special Beef Noodle Soup and it was amazing. This is one of my favorite dishes growing up and they reproduced it perfectly. I highly recommend coming here for just that one dish. Also tried the Beef tendon with turnip and it was really good as well. If this place was in Halifax I would eat there everyday! Service was very accommodating, fast and friendly. Wish they also served tea in a cup but I guess the demand for that is low in this area. I wish many good things for this place but demographically they are in the wrong place. Very happy we took a chance on this place.

The best food is often found in a small restaurant such as this.Having only recently moved to Sydney, we are still exploring the various places to eat, and Bai Wei was a marvelous find!Right off the bat, I have to say that this is the first place in town that has food that we can truly call spicy (per our request, if you don't like spicy they can take care of you as well). We had a couple of skewers, the chicken wing in particular was delicious! My wife had a tofu and bacon dish that was beautiful spiced and wonderfully prepared. I order the spicy chicken hot pot. It came out still boiling and the flavor was unmatched. Full of fresh vegetables all at the perfect tenderness, chicken and chilies, the broth rich and sweet, savory in all the best ways. The portions we're large enough we ended up taking a lot home with us to enjoy later.Whether you are adventurous or not in your dining, Bai Wei has a menu to satisfy your needs. Give them a try and you will neither walk away hungry nor disappointed.

Delicious food, definitely Chinese and they were very accommodating towards us. Still not entirely sure what I ate but I'd go again.
