Yemeni Village Restaurant
Food was excellent and filled up 3 people with getting just 2 entered. The place was pretty busy and the waitress makes you feel like they do t have time to sell you on their dishes even though you are curious about them.But the good food made up for the mediocre service.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city! Flavour is always amazing. The only complaint is the service to be honest. Had to wait a while to just get a cup of water or plates. But the food is so good that I can overlook it.

Yemeni Village Restaurant
We went to this Restaurant yesterday for the first time and were not disappointed. We ordered Lamb soup, chicken mandi, charred Liver, soft white beans with Rashosh Yemeni Bread and their Lime drinks. Everything was absolutely delicious and we only wished we had discovered this Restaurant sooner. The staff were very welcoming and we will definitely be planning another visit very soon.

This review is mostly about the service. We waited a couple of minutes before getting approached by a waiter; once seated we then waited for around 30 minutes before we asked one of them if they would take our order. Food came about 35minutes later and they forgot the side dish. Both main courses were served to us cold. we had to ask them to reheat it again. Normally someone will ask you if the food is now okay but this server just put the food back on our table and didn’t check in with us. The chicken was a bit chewy at this point but the lamb was good. We didn’t feel like staying here anymore so took the lamb to go.To be fair we could have ordered online before going in to not have had to wait but we are on a trip and chose this place based on the reviews. I understand that things like this can happen at any restaurant and one of the servers tried to make up for the missing item in our order when we were leaving by giving us the side dish on our way out but we would have appreciated if they approached us sooner when we were in or when the food was cold.Overall it wasn’t a good experience and we won’t be dining in here again.

Great food! The goat akdah with that bread was delicious. The atmosphere was great and it wasn't that crowded. Enjoyed the service by Nadia! Would definitely recommend especially if love family style dining.

To be honest very few restaurants that compile me to stop eating and write are review. I had Lamb Broth, Lamb Saghar (Stew) and Yemani bread. The Lamb Broth was tasty and very rich you can really taste the lamb and spicies. The Lamb Saghar (stew) truly amazing spicy tender shredded lamb in rich tomato based spiced sauce truly a delicious experience. The Yemani bread is tasty and a must have. I highly recommend this restaurant two or three times a month a must if you are in Calgary .

This place is my go to place with my friends and family. The place is small yet the hospitality and the food is delicious. Every time I have been to this place or have ordered a take out we always dig in to the food and I always forget to take pictures. Food is so good and generous portion. Food is halal. I have tried lamb mandi, chicken mandi, charred beef, Yemeni style egg, fasha, piping hot naans, lime with mint and tea. They serve food with two sauces. Their naans and sauces are the highlights. Highly recommended for everyone to try once.

I live in Michigan and there are A LOT of Yemeni restaurants here. I'm a self-proclaimed big fan of Yemeni cuisine. While I was planning to visit Calgary, I decided to dine in here.The food was excellent. It was properly cooked and spicy, although I must say I found it a little dry (comparing with my previous experience). Keep up the good work. On a less serious note, I was a little disheartened not seeing Lamb Haneeth on the menu.Very nice and cozy place. The place is well decorated, gives a happy vibe (the rest room needs more attention).

I had the best bread in the world here. Amazing food with really reasonable price and friendly service. It felt like a bit mixture of Indian and Mediterranean. I tried the Lamb Mandi and beef with bread btw, wanna try the grilled fish next time if I revisit Calgary. 世界上最好吃的烤大饼！！！冲啊啊啊！！！
