A Stones Throw RV Campground

We came to Stones Throw a year ago it is fantastic the campground is nice. good sized lots your not cramped in like other campgrounds , the wash houses are spectacular excellent showers etc. they also offer laundry facilities . it makes you feel like your glamping and not camping , lots for kids to do fishing log jam bike park . Just when you think it doesnt get any better the sunsets are unreal and later at night the northern lights put on a great light show. They offer a community garden where you can try out your green thumb and try planting and grow your own veggies this is a excellent touch we can’t wait to plant something this year,The Monners are truly passionate about the campground and are friendly and caring they always make time to hear everyoneIf you want a place to put your RV come to Stones ThrowIt will feel like home

We found this campground for our home this year in June. We spend every weekend here. The owners do a wonderful job of looking after it and their passion is amazing. Their vision really impressed us, and we look forward to seeing it grow.I was tentative on our trip out because of region it was in but the area is beautiful with rolling hills and incredible sunsets. Everyone we meet here is amazing and we love the community garden. Couldn’t be happier than we are.

This past summer we found out about A Stones Throw RV Campground through our community facebook page and were in contact with Colin to go check out the area. It is only about an hour from our door to our campsite which is ideal with us wanting to go out on a Friday night after work and rest for the weekend. We set up camp at the beginning of August with Colin and Cindy communicating all we needed to know about the amenities and options for us. We were able to pick our own spot as there was lots of spaces open which was great and it was cool to see the campground fill up more as the season progressed. We took our Kayaks out to putt around the reservoir which has a ton of birds and is super quiet. That was lovely to do and my husband did a little fishing too, no bites but it was just what he wanted. The campground is 5 minutes away from McGregor lake which is ideal as well for more fishing and water play. Colin and Cindy are great at keeping us up to date on happenings at the campground with the garden, mini farmers markets, updates on facilities and providing us with firewood and anything else needed. It was nice to see their whole family involved and stopping by to check in if we needed. We look forward to many more sunsets, campfires and planned activities that they have planned for the new summer. Counting down the days til we can get back out there!

We are very excited about going back for our 2nd year. Last year was so interesting watching the growth of the campground it was like watching your child take their first steps. Our spot is so large, so much potential.Wash houses available, then the showers. Laundry, available for those long visits.Tree planting, safety equipment at waters edge, then a playground and very large logs for the climbers. Let's not forget the garden.Our hosts, the Monner family are so accommodating, generous with their time. No question is trivial and the amount of history of the area is boggling. They spend many hours cleaning, upgrading and still have the time to answer many questions and fill requests. They are patient and gracious. They are on the right track to make this a family campground for all ages of campers to come and feel at home, comfortable and happy. Can hardly wait to see what is coming next.

Our first experience as a seasonal camper and it was fantastic!! The Monner’s are amazing hosts and always willing to stop and chat and are very helpful with anything and everything campsite related. Public facilities are a great asset to their campsite with showers and laundry. They had a few small markets throughout the season with some great food and vendors from around the area. Milo is only a few minutes away and everyone we met in town were friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to our 2nd year and can’t hardly wait for May 2023 to get here !!

I feel so fortunate to have found this place! I am excited to be one of the “ first “ ones here and can’t wait for the park to grow and evolve. Colin and Cindy have been amazing every step of the way.Love the reservoir and all the bird life. The peace and the sunsets are beyond stunning.

We joined the site in September of last year and so far there has been nothing but good to say about this place. The owners, Cindy & Colin, are fabulous and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We love the huge dog park, our dog gets a really good run and plenty of exercise. It's a massive site with lots of space for walking. The washrooms and showers are amazing, everything is brand new. I know they have lots planned for the upcoming year and we're excited for the season to start.Vicky & Billy

We absolutely love A Stones Throw RV and would recommend it to anyone looking for a seasonal spot. The price is very reasonable and the lots are huge. The owners are so nice and will help you in anyway they can. Bathrooms are kept very clean and the showers are amazing. There is an off leash dog park that’s huge. We have a Husky and a Black Lab that are high energy and they love the park to run and play. The off leash park is fenced in so we don’t have to worry about them getting out. The owners have already implemented some cool features like stocking the reservoir and starting a community garden. It’s very quiet & peaceful at the campground. We cannot wait for the new season to start.

The Stones Throw RV Campground is a quiet pleasant place with friendly people. I enjoy talking to everyone and I love the community garden. The owners of the RV campground are friendly and very helpful. If you have a problem just tell them and they always do what they can to help. Colin, one of the owners, is great with people and has a wonderful sense of humor. My family and I are looking forward to going back out for the summer. I love it out there and just think, you can see for miles and the night sky is amazing! Even the birds are fun to watch.

Wonderful hosts, excellent neighbors, great place to leave your RV for the season. This is a very quiet and peaceful location. We are into the summer now and we love it here! The mid week quiet is amazing! 100% recommended RV Seasonal location with superb facilities.
