World Gym Southland

I have had a membership for almost two months now.The value is really good, I think. A lot of the machines are a little worn, and it can get pretty busy. All the staff I have dealt with so far had been really great.

Disappointing gym experience. Don’t join unless just using weights. Joined for classes and paid for that option- classes seem indefinitely cancelled with no notice! Joined for the sauna- they switched it to needing to ask permission to use it, then some employees told me it was broken and being repaired (this is 2 months of this but only certain days of the week) while others happily turned it on for me and it worked fine. Are they trying to save money? Why can’t we use saunas without permission? This is so weird. Was told there would be a sign up promo. There wasn’t. Also- my household got a fungal infection from this place!! So if you go here and get a weird rash, yep that’s where you caught it from. Plus trainers text you to sell you sessions.

Love the classes at this gym, Monica’s Zumba on Monday and Wednesday nights (6.30pm) are a really fun way to stay in shape! Great instructors, Monica, Ruth and Carolynne, great people and generally just a good vibe!

I just dropped by, and this location is fantastic! There are plenty of cardio machines, clean equipment, and cable television, and the ambiance is professional without being stuffy. Everybody who is serious about exercise, regardless of experience or ability, seems to find this gym to be the ideal one.

Love this gym. Tons of great equipment and lots of cardio machines. Clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Was visiting in town for a week and got a temp pass. Awesome!

They don't stop taking payments even after you cancel membership upon end of the contract. LOL I called the gym and was told that they charge extra 2 months after end of the contract, just because. So contact is 14 months no 12 as advertised.

Would give five stars if not for my recent experience. I have been a member for over a year. They bill WEEKLY and in my year+ I haven't missed a payment until last week. The missed payment processing fee" was $35! No grace period or sympathy. What the hell is a processing fee anyways? Just let me square up what I owe. I guess this is how they plan to make up for their low fees??"
