Southwood Library

Nice small library close to home. Not the biggest selection of books, but you can always place books on hold from other libraries to make up for it. Printing documents was very easy and the staff was kind and helpful. Be sure to take advantage of their free printing service that allows you to print up to $5 worth of pages per month.

Wonderful valued community library with very helpful staff! There is a good selection of books on every genre, as well you can put an online hold and pickup when ready. There are also computers available for those who need. I’m in every week or so and love the cosy feel of this library!

Compared to the Central library located downtown, this is a cosy little library located on the corner between Sussex Crescent and Southland drive.It is wheel chair accessible with a little of everything within.There are two machines for scanning, printing and copying documents, about 5 public computers and a sitting area with outlets to plug personal computers/laptops for private studies.There is a corner with scheduled activities for children and a well maintained washroom you can access by asking staff on duty for a key.It is a moderately quiet one floor only building with modern lighting and helpful staff.

This must be the loudest Library in the world, and the only one that doesn't ask people to use their library voices". They wont even stop the children when they are screaming as if they were outside at the park.Even the staff seems to be overly loud when they are talking to people.It's ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it

I visited the library to print some documents, and it was seamless.The staff are very friendly and always available to help.The place is very clean, and quite enough for personal studies.

Such a great little library. I have fond memories of coming here as a child. Bringing my own child here after many years away I have been pleasantly surprised in how nicely the building has been maintained. It still has the same warm community feel.

Might be a smaller library, but it has some of the most helpful librarians in Calgary. And as you probably know the librarians are quite helpful everywhere.

Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The book selection is small, but you can always reserve books online for pick up. This library gives the small town library feeling. Great place for studying or working.

This library is closest to my home, and I’ve been coming here since I was about 3 years old, so I have a serious soft spot for this place! It’s one of the smaller libraries, but with that, most everyone overlooks it, so there’s never any wait for a computer, or printer!I always come pick up my book orders here as well. The staff are always friendly and full of smiles!I always feel like a kid again walking out of the doors, an excellent place to bring your young ones to discover the joys of reading, and let them run like banshees in the wide open field next door afterwards!
