Destination Stays Montreal Downtown

Besides the location, do not stay here unless you are only staying for a night or are rarely going to be in the room. The walls are stained and dirty and the amenties provided are bare minimum. Only two towels and two flat pillows and when I asked for more and help with this I was ignored and told that someone would come help but no one ever did. I reached out numerous times and just got mediocre responses with no one doing anything about the situation. The bathroom door was broken so it was hard to get any privacy when using it, and we ran out of toilet paper and no one would bring us more or more soap. The punch code key pads rarely worked and the smell from the Vietnamese restaurant poured into the apartment numerous times which could be very potent. The shower is extremely small and there is no water pressure at all, yet there is mold and old dirt on the floor. The walls have marks from dirt from past tenants which was also disgusting to sleep next to. There is no outlet next to the beds and you have to get up to charge your phone. No full length mirror either or bath mat provided. I would not be as mad about all these problems if there was a responsive customer service team. Going to a new country can be difficult at first and where you stay should make you feel comfortable at ease. It was super frusterating that everything we reported was ignored repeatedly, when lots of them were important issues. However the location is next to popular train line and lots of great food walking distance. If you are able to spend a little more money, I would definitely choose a nicer hotel or air bnb in a different area of downtown city center or somewhere in this area because it is a great area but a run down facility, and the staff does nothing to do to help you. Very disappointing. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE with responsive and attentive customer service people and cleaner rooms!

If you are looking for any kind of comfort, do not spend time in this hotel.If this is your only option, it will get you a bed, roof and bathroom access, but this is not an hotel.There is no employee on-site if anything goes wrong, and lots of things go wrong.The rooms are small and minimal, no decoration at all, cold ceramic floors. They all got the cheap landlord" oily thick white paint finishes (with many cracks)The sheets were filled with white hair

TERRIBLE!! I would prefer to give -10 stars for them. Place was not as described, one of our guests had to sleep on a chair basically because the bed promised was broken. The place was dirty, towels weren’t clean, and the place didn’t look anything like the photos. When we expressed our concerns the owner said he would try and fix it and after multiple emails to follow up he was unresponsive to us and to VRBO who we booked through. DO NOT STAY AT ANY OF THEIR LOCATIONS!! We requested a partial refund and never heard back. Destination Stays= the Slumlords of Montréal

The location is very convenient. The rooms are decently furnished but it's all quite dated. The rooms are globally clean (except for a beer can left in the bathroom) but the common parts (stairs and corridors) are not, really not.The TV never worked for me because the wifi connection is very poor and their system requires internet for any channel.Be aware that there's no one onsite to assist with anything, instructions are all provided by email.

This review is extremely late but since I’m coming back for a trip to Montreal, I remember how much of a nightmare this place was. It was June 2021, when I got there the door code did not work, the owners were not responsive at all. I had to book at another place, also I should note that they take your money in full. Anyway one day after I got a reply back saying to try a new code. I was already at another hotel so I asked for a refund. They never replied after that, ever since I asked for that. The place looked like a dump anyway too, something you would see in the 1990s. I paid with my debit card, luckily I told my bank the story and they gave me a refund after I filed a police report. Obviously that report did nothing as this place is still in business. Please. Do not book here, it only saves you $15-20 a night, from booking from An actual hotel company nearby.

The good: location and price for a solo male short 3 day stay. WiFi worked well. My room 301 is quiet given the very busy area and in the heart of Concordia university students.The bad: needs a few clean up touches like bathhooks otherwise no place to hang towels, no shower caddy to put soap, shampoo, etc. or a plastic cup. Wood floors should be cleaned better. Didn't have hairdryer as amenity was listed but ok because I don't have a lot of hair and wasn't in a hurry to dry it... Not really pleasant for solo female

STAY AWAY. These people are scammers. The rooms are not as advertised. The room was dirty, the wifi didnt work, no garbage bin, boogers on the wall, dirty floors, the front door was always unlocked, the doorways were not accessible, the heating wouldnt adjust so it was extremely hot, there were bad smells. I couldnt spend a second night there. When trying to contact the 'team' they were dismissive, sent generic responses and ultimately useless. This is 1 star hostel at best. Save your money and book elsewhere

TLDR: Don't ever stay here. Cold in winter, and absolute rip off. Booked this through hotels.com and it was advertised as $52 per night. At checkout, I didn't see the total as it was on the right of the page, and only after I paid I noticed I was charged $150 due to exorbitant fees and taxes. AS SOON as I booked it and realized this, I called and emailed both the hotel and hotels.com to request to cancel and refund as I would not have booked it had I known it was $150, not $50. Very shady move IMO. Hotels.com was actually willing to refund IF the hotel approved, which after many emails back and forth they would not approve. To make matters worse, when I got there the place looked nothing like the photos, I wouldn't consider this place a hotel it's super run down, the room was super cold (think MTL winter) even though the thermos was set to max, and the portable heater in the room didn't even work. There was no way I could sleep in there with the room being 10-15 deg C. Honestly, a hotel room with inadequate heating in winter should be illegal. You could tell the place gets no regular maintenance. There are about 3-4 door locks you are supposed to go through to get to your room, which I was provided codes for. I only needed 1-2 of those because the rest of the locks were broken so the door was just unlocked. Not a very secure place if that's what you're looking for. The customer service was almost non-existent. Hotels.com and I called the property several times with no answers. You're better off staying at a hostel like M Montreal for $30 for MUCH better service, amenities, cleanliness, and comfort. Please do yourself and myself a favour and don't stay here.

complete trash..host was unresponsive and the bed was dirty as well as the bathroom and couch. aren't refunding me either. horrific. DO not go..wish there was a negative star option

We booked through Expedia for the destination stays little burgundy location and literally everything in the description about the loft rental for 2 nights was false. We got a 2/1 instead of a 3/2, there was no coffee maker or microwave in the kitchen despite them being on the listing and there was no free self parking.The hosts of the property did not care about their obvious falsehoods. Would not recommend booking destination stays in downtown Montreal/little burgundy
