The staff are very polite and respectful. Just very pleasant to be around. The food is soooo good. They will order non dairy for you and have an endless supply of boiled eggs available lol. The beds are hard af. But the rooms are clean and no bugs. Very helpful councillors. I would tell anyone to go there. Damn site better than other places I have heard of.

189B booth Ave. Specifically this shelter. The food is uncooked they make you feel like you are in a jail cell when they put you under lockdown they deliver food very late the staff are very rude and disrespectful treat you horribly they want you to stay in your room all day and night when my family and I first came here they put us underneath lockdown because they thought my mom had covid I did a rapid test for her it came back negative I showed it to them they still refused to take us out the next hour the test came back negative, when u ask for hygienic products like body wash they give you one bar of soap I do not recommend for big families you will go crazy with the room size and the treatment they give you

I'm speaking about the new location located at 189B Booth Ave. Our first week they were treating us like we are in jail they watch everything you do (sitting eating)My family was there for the last 3 months and in that timing we have been put on isolation with out a proper reason, when I ask the workers why my family and I are on isolation one worker tells me its cause my spouse had an over night/ or the whole family had one. When we get asked the date that this has happened no one could tell us. When we got forced to take a covid test we got treated by the worker aj the cops will get called, so we had to do it.. workers don't care and won't answer your questionsNow about the isolation food the workers are not in full ppe and the enter in the rooms to give you the food, they are suppose to knock at the door to let you know and leave it there they don't wait til you answer the door and hand it to you.I'm also allergic to food and I've requested for it not to be brought into my room and they don't listen but they want us to fallow rulesP.s if you are a vegetarian I would not recommend to go there cause they won't have food for you.

Red door have a long history of actively helping communities. Their facilities are fantastic. The carlaw location is more of a head office. The staff here are super friendly, kind, and always willing to help when possible.
