I have a road bike that really required some maintenance - chain was old, gear cassette was used up and the chain lube was stripped bare after getting caught in the rain. Plus there was an odd tick noise originating from the gear cassette. Took an appointment online for maintenance (also took their best seller at $150, which included a more in-depth cleaning, etc.). Couldn't make it on that day due to illness. Staff were super relax and easy-going on the phone, understood 100%, and told me to just show up whenever as I was also outside the high season for maintenance.When I brought my bike, staff was supper professional, took notes of what I was observing in terms of problems and told me I would get a detailed report via email on what was wrong and was needed to be done for work (price, etc.). Less than a few hours later, that's exactly what I got. Plus I was easily able to check if the parts price was good (it was), and I had the final say on whether or not I approved of the work (no surprises). Bike was ready in 24 hours. Excellent workmanship, rides like new...looks like new!!! No more weird noises, the gears shift is butter smooth, the breaks are also super responsive... I had maintenance done by other shops before, and this one felt a notch above the others. Plus the advice I got on proper maintenance was excellent upon pickup. The price is good - it is consistent and competitive with what the other reputable bike shops (big and small) are charging.Hands down I fully recommend this place. Plus it's local and Aylmer desperately needed a bike shop of that caliber. Even if you have to wait a bit more during the high season for maintenance, these guys expertise can make a difference.

I am so appreciative of Aylmer's new bike shop. When the pandemic hit I decided to take the plunge and permanently switch to cycling as my primary mode of transportation (yes, sold my car, and yes that included winter cycling).Everyone at this shop that I have interacted with (Emily, Eric, Natasha, Nick) have been super helpful, and they never ever make me feel pressured to buy something I can't afford or that I don't think would even be practical for my needs (i.e. a really expensive bike that I would not feel comfortable locking up on my daily commute). You can also tell they are really passionate about what they do, and like me genuinely believe in biking as a more practical and sustainable future for our transportation.They have always made themselves available to assist with emergency" repairs

I purchased my e-bike here last year and the staff are exceptional.My recent visit was for a maintenance checkup and the work was completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.I would absolutely recommend them for sales and service.

It's an old bike, but it rides l like new after the tuneup. Excellent service.

Well organized service that offers comfort and flexibility to the customer. I like the fact that they diagnosed my bike first, then sent an offer that I had to approve before they proceed with the necessary repairs.Some people have commented about prices that are high, but I think there is great value in the service I've received for the money.I would definitely go back whenever necessary.

Performed tune up/overhauls of our 2 bicycles. Efficient appointment booking and drop off. Great explanation of their estimates for the required work, helped us understand the cost/benefit of repairing versus purchasing new bikes. Have been out for a couple of rides, bikes feel good as new!

This is a phenomenal bike shop in downtown Aylmer! Natasha and I did two half-day tours of Ottawa and Aylmer/Gatineau/Hull on e-bikes. I was worried about how it would be because it was clocking 35-40 km per ride (I haven't ridden a bike in probably ten years) but the e-bike enabled me to challenge myself whenever I wanted by turning down the assist setting and if it was a steep hill or I was tired, I turned it up and could move fluidly and easily and rest my legs completely. Natasha helped me feel very safe and, aside from where it was completely unavoidable, kept me on pedestrian/cyclist paths. She and Eric provided me with padded shorts and a bunch of other stuff to make the ride comfortable for me. It was a lovely time and I feel that I've left with a good feel of the area. I did a fully private tour and it was highly customized and very relaxed, I loved it. It can seem pricy if you do it solo but if you have specific things you want to check out I think it's 100% worth it, especially if you're hesitant on a bike and want to do it safely with someone on your first try. The e-bike option is the big difference between this shop and any others that I researched, because you can go 20-30 km/h with little effort if you turn up the assist function so you can end up covering more ground on these tours. The bonus here is also that I wasn't too sore or drained to continue sight-seeing in the afternoons after my tours. Natasha also showed me where you can go fast safely and where you need to go more slowly (i.e., where cars are less cyclist-aware, etc.).Plus, the shop has really friendly staff and they have amazing bikes and tons of gadgets/accessories so if you want to go back after they're also wonderfully helpful!
