I had a terrible day. I visited last Saturday. That day my friends visited Madison to see me for a while. One of the friends I visited to see me told me I was going home because I didn't have an ID and I was greeting my friend, and suddenly a big blonde female guard yelled at me and forced my arm out. I asked her to explain why, but she ignored me. And I said I should take my luggage because it was inside, but she yelled at me. That's so rude. I was so angry. I'm very disappointed in Madison about this and I wonder why they use such a racist as a guard.

Great atmosphere on St. Patrick’s day but the line was just too long!!! Some of my friends couldn’t get in. Overall, great place to hangout on Friday night’s for sure. Just they need to hire more staff to provide a better service.

I have been here a couple of times and really like the Victorian mansions and the vibe. They occupy three mansions and the pub is sprawled across the huge area. There are different sitting and bar zones and I still have to discover a few of those :)They have live music, a piano and also pool tables. The patios are pretty good as well and can accomodate a huge party of people.The drinks and cocktails are limited and I was hoping to find some more variety. Also, they can do better with revamping the food menu and incorporating some more unique dishes to suit the Victorian setting. But, overall, it is a decent pub to party and cherish friendships.

Had a great time here! We came to celebrate St. Patrick’s day and it was fun. I feel this place would be even better during summers with the patio being opened. Their cocktails and food options were great!

A very historical looking pub with many bars within itself, all connected to each other. I was very impressed by the level of activity here, yet the attentiveness of the staff and the music choice that complimented the atmosphere well.Expect average prices for your drinks here, thankfully nothing inflated like what one would expect in a more iconic seeming establishment.

Went here with my friends for new years. We got early bird tickets and got there at 8:30. The line was massive already but it moved pretty fast. The place was packed at 9:30. The music was pretty good but the downstairs dance floor wasn’t open until 10 so everyone had to stay upstairs or outside. It was so jammed upstairs there was literally no where to escape too. It was crammed behind fire code. I felt very unsafe and trapped. There were times when I couldn’t even take a full breath. I have been in very busy clubs before but this was nothing like I have ever experienced. Once the downstairs dance floor opened there was more space to move but it got packed so quickly. The crowd kept surging throughout the night and multiple people were pushed to the ground. My friends and I asked at the bar for water and the bar tender said she would get us some, but then continued to ignore us and serve other people who were buying alcohol. We stood there for 20 minutes and we had to get random guys to keep asking for us as they were buying alcohol and we were not. I understand they need to make sales but this is still unacceptable especially in an over crowded and hot bar. If it wasn’t new years I would have left at 9:30 to be totally honest. I really like the Maddy and will come back on regular weekends but they need to stop packing people in. It honestly ruins the enjoyment for many people and creates major safety concerns.

I enjoyed this place. Classic old pub feel which I miss and wish there were still more around. Servers were quick and lots of beer choices. They have a couple pool tables and lots of TVs. Was there for Man Utd game and there were a group of united fans which was nice as well.

Went for a late lunch with a big group and had an amazing time. The vibe is very old school pub but the food was great bar food. Had James as our server and he was doing an amazing job manning both indoor dining and the patio by himself! Would definitely recommend as a casual low key place to grab a beer.
