If you're out by Silverwater, at the West end of Manotoulin Island, stop by the Stop 540. Great breakfast, awesome burgers, friendly service. Had breakfast there today - 3 eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, home fries, 3 pieces of toast. And a refillable coffee. Great value, great taste. Kept me full all day!

If you are looking for simple yet very tasty food price very attractively you will not find anything better on the island. And unless I am mistaken it is the ONLY eat-in restaurant west of Gore Bay. Just be sure to get there by 6 p.m. weekdays for 5 p.m. weekends because they close fairly early. Definitely worth planning your trip around.

During our two-month stay on Manitoulin Island in the winter, my partner and I had the opportunity to try out many local dining options. We highly recommend checking out this restaurant in Silver Water, which offers really good fish and chips. The batter was crispy, and the fish was cooked perfectly with a great flavor.The seating area is a bit small, but we were still able to find a comfortable spot to enjoy our meal. Overall, this is a great spot to consider if you're looking for a good place to eat on the west side of Manitoulin Island.

Great place to stop and rest and eat on the way to or from Meldrum Bay and anywhere on Manitoulin's West End. The food is traditional and very tasty. Enjoy!
