Guelph Public Library - Main Library

I love going to the main branch of the GPL. It's well lit and organized. There are so many amenities for the community to utilize, including printing, computer access, etc.As this is the largest branch it has the best selection of available materials, I think. The staff are friendly and are available to answer questions you might have.The library is a great resource for people living in Guelph!

One of the best smaller community libraries I've ever been to. Can even sign out DVDs and blue Ray's. Staff is knowledgeable kind. Beautiful safe place to study and read.

I like libraries and really like this one. The staff I met were super friendly, personable and helpful. I know you may think a library is a library is a library but the librarians attitude makes a huge difference how we enjoy a library. I've been to awesome libraries where the staff were dour or cold and they were just no fun.The guy who helped me with setting up my new card was super friendly, careful, personable and efficient. The library itself is cosy, well laid and in an excellent location.The reason I am giving this 4-stars and not 5 are that the parking is not free and rather expensive. They should have 15 minutes grace period for people who are in-and-out, and lower the hourly rate. Why discourage people from visiting the library??The other reason for dropping a star are the people who smoke at the entrance. I wish they'd enforce the no-smoking mandates.Overall, still a very pleasant place to be.

It's a wonderful library spread out between two floors. Thousands of fantastic books to explore. Located in the heart of Guelph, it is one place that will captivate, and inspire all who enjoy reading.

An excellent library, with a good selection and even toys and puzzles for the little ones.They also have programs for all ages, which you can see and sign up for on their website.

Excellent amenities, well organized, friendly staff. The children's section on the second floor is spectacular and not only boasts a large selection of books, but fun areas for littles to explore and tables where they can get creative.

Was Great what a b8ke ride walkking now so soon how deep is the middle of that bridge. Lol couminty bus less ridden no matter pick a number.

Such a great place to bring your children. There is a whole floor dedicated to children's books and activities, for children of ALL ages.There is always a craft and interactive display which makes every visit extra fun.The staff are all very friendly.

Amazing staff! The facility is well maintained also.

The reception was great especially to me as a newcomer. Keep it up.
