Spectating the ice races has got to be one thing Inlook forward to everyweek. When the sun is shining take the perfect opportunity to do some tailgate BBQing. We went and talked to a couple of the racers. They were more then happy to talk about the cars. Lets hope the good ice sticks around for awhile!!

This was my first time going to the ice races. It was the last event of the season. We all enjoyed our selves. If you're driving a car, the road is a little rough on the way in, but nothing impassable. There's a lot of parking when you get there. If you're early enough, you can pull right up to the raised lakeside to watch the race right from the comfort of your own vehicle. There is also a small section of bleachers for those who don't mind the weather. There were two porta-potty locations. One at either end of the parking area. Most of the racers were parked about 30ish yards from the lake side, where anyone could easily walk up and check out the cars or chat up the drivers. While in your vehicle you can tune in to hear live race announcing. There is a sign on the way in telling you what to tune your radio to. It was 91.9FM for us today. Also, it seems they have regular 50/50 draws, which get called over the radio. We had beginner's luck and won three times! This is a great place to bring the family for Sunday afternoon fun. The price of admission is by a donation box on the way in. Pay what you can.
