Gabriel and Amy are incredible. I hired them to create a railing structure for my parents home. They designed it to suit the style of the home and it’s stunning. The house dates back to the early 1900’s and has been their home since 1977. Aside from the visual artistry of the piece it’s solid and very functional.

Such a wonderful experience, Gabriel really reinforced the foundation blacksmithing skills, in a fun and educational atmosphere. I cannot recommend enough for anyone interested in blacksmithing.

Smith shop is by far the finest handcrafted metal studio in the Midwest! Juried artisans and world famous designs. They have pieces in the permanent collection in the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC. I would not hesitate to recommend!

I had a lot of fun creating a knife during a weekend intensive class. The instructions were very clear and I feel like I did 95% of the work to complete my knife. Some of the trickier techniques required assistance which I was more than happy for as it takes practice and experience to get it right. I learned many new techniques and any questions were answered thoroughly.

If you're considering taking a class here, do it! My wife and I attended a wedding band Workshop here and are so happy with the results. The course was a perfect way to spend a weekend. Amy and Meridith patiently walked us through the whole process from material selection to final polishing, fostering a fun and safe environment every step of the way. Highly recommended!
