Recon Metal

Ripped off twice so will never go back here.Had to give it a second shot after feeling ripped off the first time, and after yesterdays results it was confirmed.I brought in a 5th wheel trailer hitch, over 120LB, and didn't even receive $20 for it being recycled...I checked their website today and noticed their prices are no longer listed for recycling ferrous and non-ferrous metals.Based off my receipt it was .15 cents a LB..... but didn't know that until get the 'pay slip' for it and not being able to undo the process.Will never go back and don't recommend.They should tell you when you get there how much the metal is worth for a LB. Not wait until after the process, and you're stuck with the literal pocket change they give you.I wish I could get my hitch back and take it somewhere else. Could literally take it anywhere else and get at least $30 for it , let alone $20 for it; unlike here...Not impressed to say the least. Will truly never be back.

As per other reviews, a little confusing trying to figure out where to go but if you just walk in, someone will spot your confused look and help you out. Quick in and out process, will definitely come back. Don't forget your 2 pieces of ID!

I've never had a bad experience at Recon, all the people are good. They're also one of best set up yards to get in and out fast. Call before your first trip and they'll tell you what to do.

They were fast friendly and extremely accommodating. Our truck was too big for the inside drop area. They came out with carts. And even helped us unload

After ruthlessly cleaning out my closet and purging 3 huge bags of clothes I was left with probably 200 hangars. I hated to just put them in the trash and city blue bins forbid them for safety reasons which is understandable. So after calling around I found Recon. Jerry was very helpful in emails and so I found all the extra metal that I had and drove it down. I had 68 pounds of hangars alone! They took it all. I got $2 back but it was the satisfaction of not using the landfill that made it worthwhile. Happy days!

They paid me .20$ per pound for 185lbs of high grade aluminium. Absolute cons artists. Never come here again, I advise anyone with scrap to go anywhere but here.

I absolutely love the concept and the service.One or two reviews have complained about the price / pound of scrap (I didn't care), but for me, I either would have had to pay to drop off an old appliance or go here. I arrived just 5 minutes prior to close, and unloaded the appliance. The office was closing, and I was warned if I wanted payment, I'd have to come back a different time. To me, it wasn't about the few dollars I could have gotten for it, but rather (1) saving dump fees, (2) save time by avoiding big lines at dump, and (3), keeping items out of the landfill.I will bring any appliances / scrap here that I have.

Very clean and organized, friendly staff and scale operator. Little convoluted to find your way around but the groundsmen quickly get you sorted. Access to the scale could be better but even in a semi and trailer if you know what your doing it's still a manageable approach. In and out in 20 minutes including chatting with the worker not bad for an end dump. Overall very pleasant experience.

Quick & easy, usually in & out. I don't have to worry about getting ripped off & the staff is always super nice, on their game & professional. It's my first choice for metal yards.
