Gaston and his staff produce magnificent work. The design process was collaborative and Gaston expertise and creativity helped produce a great design. The team at Maren Framing took that design and built a fantastic shadow box that now houses a key part of my father's life and passion.

Malen Framing does exquisite work. They have reframed art for us, mounted various craft works and framed posters and new works. Their advice is always spot on and we’ve had many compliments about the pieces they’ve done.

On Aug 15th 2022 I went to Malen framing to get my 2 paintings matted as they are too small for the frames.After picking up my frames on Aug 29, I discovered the frames were cracked.I called Malen Framing and they told me they noticed the cracked frames and that they matted them anyway.I asked them why they never called me about this and they assumed I would have wanted the job done anyway.Weirdly they never took ownership of the cracked the frames. I asked if I could have a discount or if they could fix the frames but Gaston and Kelly felt it was my issue not theirs. They said that this was out of their control that I bought “cheap” frames.I never leave poor reviews but I felt I should leave this here in case someone is considering Malen Framing. I am quite shocked by this customer service as they have been in business for 40+ years and have positive reviews. Maybe they have lost their sense of customer service over the years.

My family and I have been customers for about 7 years. We have had paintings framed, we have bought frames for some photos and even artwork.In May, I brought two pieces of cross stitching I did for framing. It was going to be a birthday gift to my boyfriend. I had an idea of what I wanted but Gaston made suggestions to make it even better! I spent way more than I was expecting ($520) because the cross stitching needed to be stretched, and that is $66 per piece. It was well worth the money!I brought the artwork to my boyfriend (who lives in Toronto) and noticed the frame had a big chip and there was a bit of fluff trapped under the glass. I brought the artwork back to Malen and it was fixed in a couple of days, at no cost.The artwork came back to Toronto and is now hanging on my boyfriend's living room wall. It looks amazing!I have more cross stitching pieces that I'll be bringing to Malen for framing.I highly recommend Malen for framing!
