On the last day of my visit to Montreal, I stumbled across Melk Cafe while looking for the entrance to The Montreal Underground City. I wasn't sure I'd like it - it seemed a bit more buttoned up than I usually prefer my coffee shops. It seemed more like a sweet iced latte sort of place.Their cappuccino and cortado proved me wrong. Both drinks were just the right temperature with excellent microfoam and nice dashes of latte art. Both tasted great, as well. No off flavors or sourness - a bit on the chocolatey side.The baristas were all pleasant, but not in that phony corporate sort of way.I'd definitely go again next time I visit Montreal.

Super yummy honestly. But the only thing is that if you’re considering working there, they don’t have Wi-Fi (only the one at Stanley as I was told by the employees after asking for the Wi-Fi). But other than that really good drinks :)

Nice and small coffee place, with beautiful interior sunlight. Calm and cozy and there was really friendly staff. Strong coffee, and I could add a little bit of milk to it.
As a remote worker I add to others that at that moment (Jan 2023) there was no wifi available but there where plugs at your disposal with nice tables.

despite being on the wrong side of Montreal it's a very nice cafe, small but cute. It was very busy when I visited but the service was quick and efficient. The redhead who made my coffee was very kind along with the rest of the staff! Now I understand why this is my girlfriends favourite spot.

This place is smaller than I expected but that didn’t matter. My cappuccino was made perfectly, absolutely faultless. The cheese, green onion and cumin scone was moist, fresh and delicious. This place is incredible and exceeded any expectations I may have had

Lovely place, located on Stanley Street, Downtown Montreal.I highly recommend itFast service, you won't have to wait for a long time to get some coffee which unfortunately the case for some other coffee shops.Good atmosphere for those sitting inside.Im definitely coming over there during my coffee break time.

This is a very cute spot for coffee, nice decor and seating, service is friendly and drinks are reasonably priced. Tried vanilla latte and was really good.

A nice little coffee place. They are not recommended for your “first cup of coffee.” There isn't much place to stand/sit while waiting.The coffee was decent, and the pastry selection was slim. MELK does not offer WIFI for customers.

It’s a lovely small café with well-designed seating area. I love three types of seats that I can choose by need. even it’s packed of people I didn’t feel too crowded. friendly staff. We came here nearly closed time. We had a rose water biscuit, maple latte and vanilla latte. These latte were rich and dense flavors, slightly sweet. Their website shows the coffee is certified organic and roasted in Montreal.
