I had a very helpful young lady today in the Thunder Bay location. Her name was Nadya knew exactly what we were looking for and even help my little guy into the recovery onesie. Thank you Nadya.

This pet smart was super clean and well stocked! Make sure to go to the back to check out all the sale stuff. The staff was really nice and they have a beautiful area for all the fish!Also made a return later (item didn’t fit my pup) and they were very nice and helpful. No issues as I had my receipt and everything :)

Groomers did an amazing job with my dog, gave him a perfect cut, amazing price, and came back to a happy little puppy.Would recommend to have your grooming services here, staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful. The staff also helped me find the perfect toys for him when I was struggling to find small dog toys for super chewers!

I want to like this store. They have tons of great stuff and the prices are decent, but finding staff to talk to is almost as bad as home depot. I think that they only have 3 staff working at any given time and one of them is working the cash register.The type of dog food that I usually purchased was not in stock more often than it was available, so I ended up switching foods and going to a different store. Too bad, it's a nice place, just no staff.

Nice koi/goldfish pond. Fish supplies were well stocked but the available fish was kind of sad. Dependable dog and cat supplies. Can't speak for small animals as I'm not familiar with them.

My mom went in to buy 8 dozen large mealworms for my gecko. She was given a bag with 8 dozen night crawlers. She didn't know that she was given the wrong product until she got to my place which is 4 hours from tbay I now am out 60 bucks and stuck with worms I can't use.

I was extremely disappointed to find out after I returned my dogs food as she is an incredibly picky eater that they throw out the remaining dog food. It was a 20Lbs bag that my dog had a mere scoop of that I returned the following day. In my experience, as I am forced to return more food than I’d like from other pet stores that nearly every other pet store will donate the unsellable returns of food to animal shelters. I asked why they did not do this and the manager had no response. I am disgusted at the thought of wasting such a large amount of dog food when there are many places it could be donated to rather than discarded in the garbage. Pet smart continues to add to the consumeristic mind set of profit and selfish avenues of ease over reuse and distribution to animals in need. I will never be shopping at this store again until they change their policy on food returns.

**Warning photos contain signs of animal neglect** I went to go shopping at pet smart today May 27, 2022 shortly after they had opened to get some supplies for my pets, and to potentially pickup a new pet, however what I saw were dead, and dying reptiles and fish. The two crested geckos i had seen, the white one is malnourished and dehydrated as you can see the ribs and the tank is bone dry, the crested gecko next to also has the same issues and from has stuck crusty shed skin making the reptile immobilized unable to move, for the state the geckos are in it looks like well over a month of neglect, I couldn't see the other reptiles but from the state of the enclosures I would say they are fairing the same as the crested geckos sadly. The fish tanks each had multiple dead fish, fish heads, or body parts the other fish were eating which is a breeding ground for internal and external parasites. And for a fish to be nothing left but a head takes quite awhile of not cleaning the tank, I wasnt able to get alot of pictures as an employee saw me and asked me not too take pictures. Please dont buy live stock from here they are neglected either due to improper training, lack of care for the job, or whatever the case may be, all I know is I feel sick after seeing 2 dying reptiles and over a dozen dead fish in various states of decay.

Has what no-one else in town for transporting pets but does not carry what I want, at least in store.The budgies flitting amongst the beams in this warehouse (store) was a little disconcerting at first.Wandering over to the fish pond and looking at how large the coi have gotten was nice, though.Of what they carried that I needed was easy to find and the associate that assisted me was pleasant and showed knowledge about the item I could not find and suggested some alternatives that would not help from what was carried in stock.
