Staff were excellent and very helpful.It’s just a long wait. Get there and hour or more before to get a place in the line up. It only holds about 65 cars and it doesn’t run past 8pm.

If you are riding on the Veteran it is easily one of the nicest Ferries on the province. Ran on time, and has great local coffee and snacks (flat earth coffee)

Worst ferry experience! We had to stay in line overnight since 6pm and it’s now 7:30am and we still haven’t left because the veteran is down. Terrible customer service, terrible organization! Will never come again, don’t recommend, save yourself the stress and hassle, this is unbelievable!

We were there at 7:30am to get the 8 or 8:30 ferries, but we missed those as there was a long lane of cars and trucks, and the next ferry arrived around 11:30 am. It was really frustrating to wait for the next ferry, and then the last one coming back from fogo island was 7:30 and we were afraid to miss that one so we came back around 3:30 and didn’t have enough time to visit the island. So, I think it is not a day trip plan if you really want to the island, as we could just visit Sandy cove beach which was really great.

Great ferry, we could go above deck because of c-19 unfortunately but the trip was efficient and the staff was pleasant.

Farewell Ferry
Sat in line for a full day as the ferry underwent 'repairs,' missing all of its scheduled departures. At no point could anyone give us any explanation of what was happening or how long it might take. We missed our flights and spent $1000 on new flights and an additional night of lodging. Fogo Island is beautiful; the ferry service is not.

I really.enjoyed our trip across the ferry from Farewell to Fogo.Standing on the top deck enjoying the sun while chatting with other guest.

It's a bit of a pain waiting for the ferry, but the view is beautiful, the people are super friendly, and, hey, you are going to Fogo Island; arguably one of the best places to visit in the world!!
