Die Kleine Kinderschule (DKK) Preschool - Forest Heights School

Our child loved attending Die Kleine Kinderschule. The educators are engaging and provide a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Our child made many new friends and gained confidence speaking and singing in german. We highly recommend.

My son had a wonderful year at DKK the teachers are exceptional in their dedication and go above and beyond ! Thanks Frau Christiane and Frau Nadine. Lots of fieldtrips and heaps of activities kept it exciting all year long.

So far 2 of my kids have gone to DKK. I have no background in German but it’s not a problem. The teachers at Forest Heights DKK are absolutely wonderful, they are kind and patient and are always coming up with creative fun activities for the kids. There are no parent duty days required (which is really nice for busy parents) and when there is no covid, they have a really great variety of field trips that the kids get to go on. I can’t say enough good things! Highly recommend!

Very good Forest Heights preschool! Both teachers are very caring. My daughter and I both like the school very much. My little one makes friends and has so much fun at school. She is looking forward to going to school every time. Teachers engage children in making cool crafts that related to culture, science, history...Many times when I pick her up, they were walking and singing and hand in hand marching cheerfully. I am pleased to see one time they were walking outside with kid-size trash grabbers picking up garbage around school area. Teachers also send out monthly reports with pictures keeping parents informed of what they have done and how children are doing. Overall, very good quality preschool. I cannot think of any complaints! Thank you very much Frau Christiane and Frau Nadine!

DKK has been an amazing preschool for our kids. The teachers are so kind and helpful and my kids have loved them and often talk about them still. Our kids have improved their German language skills so much (I'm sure they know more than I do now). I'm so thankful we found this program and for all the hard work the teachers do to make everything fun, interesting and engaging for the kids!

We can’t say enough incredible things about DKK and their loving teaches. For the past 4 years our kids have attended and the love and care they get is very special. A wonderful bilingual preschool with great values.

The teacher of DKK are doing an amazing job! The program is rich in content and most important the teachers are so loving with the kids. All my kids have gone and loved it!

We are so happy with our decision to send our daughter to DKK at Forest Heights. The teachers are so wonderful and our daughter always tell us they are her favourite part of playschool. She always comes home with cute crafts or activities she’s done and it’s wonderful that the kids get to go outside so much as well. It has been amazing to see not only how much our daughter has learned but how much she has grown as a person during her time so far. We would highly recommend this playschool and can’t wait to send our son when he is old enough.

Both my girls attended die Kleine Kinderschule in Rio Terrace. Both loved it and so did I. The teachers were amazing. They knew my kids so well just after a few days and my kids absolutely adored their teachers. I was very surprised how quickly my kids learned new German words and phrases and this often through songs and games they played at the preschool. But also everyday objects they used in preschool like glue sticks and scissors or their clothing they were able to say and name in German. Beside the German I also saw my Kids motor skills and social behaviour improving. The pre-kindergarten class really helped my kids to prepare for kindergarten especially when it came to learning how to write. Overall I cannot say enough great things about this program and can only recommend it.

It is with pleasure that I provide a review for Die Kleine Kinderschule. I have had the privilege of working collaboratively with the preschool teacher, Frau Christiane and her assistant, Frau Nadine as they partnered with Community Options, Community Preschool Education. Our program is an early intervention program for preschool-aged children with diagnosed developmental delays. Frau Christiane works alongside our multi-disciplinary team to create an inclusive environment for preschool children.Frau Christiane works tirelessly, takes great pride in her teaching, is nurturing and caring, demonstrates a genuine interest in her students, communicates with parents, and is an advocate for early learning. One of Frau Christiane's priorities is to accommodate special needs students through individual program planning and patience. Frau Christiane is dedicated to the successful delivery of the program and committed to student learning. A visit to her classroom on any day at any time would reveal an atmosphere where teaching is interacting with the whole child and adjusting instruction for individual student needs.Frau Christiane has created a rich learning environment where students are engaged in interesting and challenging activities in a safe and caring environment of learning through play. She embeds her main theme of learning German seamlessly into her classroom activities and routines. Teacher directed activities are well planned, motivational, and allow children to engage with materials. This is seen in large group, small group as well as individualized instruction.Frau Christiane's energetic personality and dedication to the children are what makes her a wonderful teacher. The students in her classroom are always eager to come to school, and they feel comfortable with Frau Christiane. Frau Christiane has excellent communication and rapport with parents. She has a genuine approach to making both students and parents feel comfortable in the classroom.It is a pleasure to work alongside the staff at Die Kleine Kinderschule and to be a part of this great preschool program.
