The price went up twice, substantially each time. We were stuck paying. I would not hire them to move a lawn chair. It is a despicable way they run their company. BEWARE.

Overall the move went well. The physical act of moving us from Alberta to Ontario that is.Beyond the people actually doing the move the rest of the process was a bit tedious. I received only half of my items within the 16 day maximum delivery date. The remainder took another 18 days! I tried to be as flexible as possible for burly boyz and even allowed a further 4 day delay in exchange for a 400$ bill credit.When it came time to review everything I was then told that they could only give me 500$ total back, and that the $400 was for the full amount of time and not just the four days. Needless to say I'm taking this up with the BBB.I would definitely recommend them to move you, I would just caution about paying for anything until you have all of your items in your house and if there was an issue that it is resolved before you pay!

We used Burly Boyz Moving & Storage to move from southwestern Ontario to Edmonton. We found there was a personal touch which we haven’t had in previous cross country moves. They were spot on with communication and very professional. They were always available for questions and kept us informed about the move. There were no hidden prices and with such a great staff and pricing, we will be recommending them to our friends and family. Great job Burly Boyz and thanks again for everything arriving in perfect shape!

Do not use Burley BoyzI moved from Edmonton to Toronto in February and I am still having problems with this company.From the moment you pay your deposit you will lose all contact, emails ‘lost’, passed on from employee to employee and even completely ignored with new email chains started to bypass your questions or concerns.Prior to paying the deposit I ensured there was a set timeline and that if it didn’t arrive in time I would be compensated as I was moving across the country to an empty apartment. I was not notified when my items were going to leave Edmonton and no one would answer how long it would take once it left. My items arrived late, I only found out they would be late by continuously following up for an update being consistently ignored until I finally received a call that my items would arrive the next day. This gets extremely tricky moving into an apartment where you have to book the elevatorI understand timing doesn’t always work out and delays happen but it is the effort the company makes to resolve issues which goes a long way. I have been very understanding with the time delays but the lack of transparency and care to even respond to an email is what has left me to warn others looking for movers. If you value knowing when your items will be leaving a city, when they will arrive, or if you’ll receive compensation in a timely matter for the mistakes made do not go with this company.The actual on the floor movers were great and made the day easy. They did lose a couple bolts when breaking down my bed frame but overall super helpful and communicative. It’s highly disappointing that their effort and care is lost behind something that could’ve been easily handled.My items were picked up February 10th and as of June 27th my issues have not been resolved.

Really great service that took a significant amount of stress off of a large move from Calgary to SW Ontario. NOTHING was damaged and I mean nothing (not even my large mirror or any of my champagne flutes ;) )In Calgary, Josh and Riel were an excellent help. They disassembled my furniture and packed everything with care, plus were very friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable with my choice. In Ontario, the team was equally kind and careful and finished the job very quickly.It's almost like magic my stuff came the way it did, and I am so grateful. Would definitely use again without question if I make any other big moves.

Don't use this company. Broken items, careless movers, and incredibly slow to reimburse for broken items. Even if you do receive reimbursement, it's a fraction of the value of the item. It's been over 5 weeks and I haven't recieved any feedback/reimbursement for the broken item.

Sadly, a horrible experience with Burly Boyz. The labourers themselves are great but operationally they are awful.Initially I was quoted 9-15 days for my move from Toronto to Vancouver. It was only after I paid the deposit that I found out that it would be about 20. I called the salesperson back and he essentially told me there was nothing he could do about it as I had already paid.Communication was almost nonexistent, and the little communicating they did after I contacted them were false promises. They told us that our things were on the 4-7 day train transit on Monday Feb 6, and then said the exact same thing on Wednesday Feb 15. The movers actually did show up at the bottom of our apartment (35 days after pickup) without any prior notification that they were coming. This is despite me calling, emailing and repeatedly telling the logistics coordinator I needed at least 48 hours to book the service elevator.Complaints department also said they opened up a concern investigation for me and has repeatedly told me that there are no updates with my concerns. Please look elsewhere.. and spread the word. I am all for supporting small local businesses but this level of customer service is appalling. I still do not have my items and have had to repurchase almost everything that I already expected to have.

I do not ever write reviews, but this must be heard.This is BY FAR the worst customer experience I have ever had.Used this company for a move from Vancouver to Toronto. Initially contact for pick up in Vancouver was great, but after pick up everything went down hill.Our customer rep had not reached out to us for over 1.5 weeks, and we had to ask her what was the estimate time of delivery. We were then told that our shipment had not arrived in Edmonton yet. They had no explanation to why it took that long to arrive there. We were then told daily that the train in Edmonton should leave, but it didn't for another 2-2.5 weeks, again blaming weather or CN rail.The customer service and communication was beyond poor and honestly unacceptable. They had finally given us a move in date, where we had asked family and friends to baby sit and be available, on NEW YEARS EVE. We then had absolutely no confirmation, or contact with the Toronto team and our customer rep couldn't get a hold of them". This not only wasted our time but everyone who came to help us. We not only have to buy air mattresses

Used the boyz" to move from Toronto to Vancouver Island in the last month.The Toronto movers dealt with some serious lack of organization and headaches at my apartment building in regards to parking their moving truck. They both were super cool and professional about it all - got the job done quickly & efficiently with no issues.Delivery on the island 3 weeks later - the movers were also super quick and efficient. Super friendly. All my belongings arrived in one piece

We sadly did not have the best experience with Burly Boyz. We moved from Calgary to Toronto. The movers in Calgary arrived 3 hours late. In Toronto the movers arrived 2 hours early which was a struggle with work. When our stuff arrived in Toronto our bed hardware was missing, our couch was stained, and the insurance forms we signed with the Calgary movers were never received by admin...Thank goodness for Jennifer from their customer service team. She was extremely organized, understanding of our situation, and an excellent communicator. I would be hesitant to use them again.
