It takes a lot for a pastry to impress my husband and these fritters hit the mark. Best smelling gas station around. Definitely stop here!

Great place to spend a night or two. Beach across the road, pet friendly, great sandwiches, and apple fritters. Don't forget to fill up the vehicle too, yes they have gas pumps too. Staff is extremely friendly.

Get the fritters fresh in the morning (you get a free one with the room!)Buy a dozen to sustain you on your cross canada trip. If you're moving out to BC you should eat as many as you can because you won't be able to afford any food once you get there.

This place was perfectly clean, well kept and quiet! Owners and staff accomodated our questions and helped us when they were fully booked to pick up our second night stay when someone cancelled. They made our little getaway on Superior a delight! The fritters...to die for!

Wow, first a beautiful view, clean nicely done spacious room followed by absolutely delicious apple fritters! A bit of paradise on the journey from Thousand Islands to Saskatchewan. A must stay and the owners were very awesome too.

Of course the apple fritters were great! The service was lovely and a good place to stop along the way if you need some basic groceries or are a little snack.

I have been staying at this spectacular place for over ten years and it never fails to surprise me or to bring back the fondest memories. This place is special for so many reasons; the outstanding food, the clean and quiet rooms, but most of all the people. The owners have created a place where smiles rule the day and friendly conversations are frequent. Nestled along the Trans-Canada Hwy. along the north shore of Lake Superior is this wonderful spot on the map. If you are planning a trip or a vacation, you will need to stop at The Voyageur's Lodge and Cookhouse. You will not regret it. Beautiful place to stay with lake view from the rooms. Busy highway, but the sound did not impact our sleep. It is a bit pricey for a motel though.

Don’t come here off the beach unless you want to be discriminated against and told you “look inappropriate” and yelled at to “get out of here”. Completely disrespected today by staff even though I came in with shoes and clothes, I was told my body was inappropriate since I had a bathing suit top on. My top completely covered my chest. I understand a rule for shoes- but to aggressively tell me I’m in appropriate and yell at my family and myself to leave is insane! wont ever come back here.
