Sunnyside Manor

Mom moved into Sunnyside Manor in November 2019. Shortly after her move, there was a change in management and the noticeable shift that has happened since is quite remarkable. New programs were implemented within the confines of Covid and adjustments were made to make life easier for the residents. Personally this really helped me feel better about mom being there since I live far away and visitation was restricted. Dealing with the shifting restrictions we experienced during 2020 and continue to through 2021, is a testament to the care brought to Sunnyside Manor residents and staff by their management team.The menu has improved significantly! It’s obvious Chef Louise and the kitchen team really care that the residents have delicious and healthy meals and are introducing new food items to keep things interesting and adventurous. A big change from what sometimes seemed like cafeteria food.I also appreciate the additional information sessions introduced to the residents on healthcare, new food item introductions, insurance, etc as well as activities (art and tai chi!) to improve their health, fitness and wellbeing. I feel these sessions help with the residents feeling active and engaged in life. I enjoy seeing photos and updates on the activities on their Facebook page every day!I would recommend Sunnyside Manor to anyone looking for a retirement community for their family member!Thank you everyone at Sunnyside that makes moms life easier.

I had the opportunity to have a tour at Sunnyside, the residents seem to be very happy and it was a incredibly clean environment. The staff had smiles on and were helpful. My Aunt is moving in this month and couldn't be happier. I am so happy they are keeping everyone safe and healthy at Sunnyside! Great work to all the staff.

Harmony Health Care has provided service to the residents of Sunnyside Manor for many years. Since the change in ownership and management it is clearly evident that residents and Sunnyside staff are more content and happier. Comments from our Harmony Care Team indicate a supportive, harmonious work environment and that residents enjoy the creative programs offered and the easy access to an open management team. I was inquiring about a place for my father to live and the staff were very friendly and assisted me greatly. I am very excited to have found this home for my dad and hopefully we will be moving him in 2021. Thanks for you assistance and helpful quick response!

Our Dear 'Ol Dad has been living at Sunnyside Manor for 1 year now. He is very happy there, which makes us very happy! The staff is wonderful. He is treated with grace and dignity. Everyday he goes into great details about the wonderful meals he has. Of course because of these trying times that we are all living under, it is a bit of a worry. Cleanliness is top priority and they do everything possible to keep our Dad safe. Nothing but good things to say about Sunnyside Manor! A friend of mine could finally move( had to wait a few months because of Corona restriction) to Sunnyside Manor in July.Have been dealing with management and staff on various occasions. What a pleasure...they are friendly, accommodating, professional,helpful. I see how patient and kind they are with their residents. They are really working hard on keeping the place safe. The management with their new GM,Sheri Brown,have implemented various new programmes in their activity calender. Big thank you to all of you!

Sunnyside Manor has vastly improved under the change in management as evident by the thriving residents and happier staff!Food has improved immensely as they've introduced fresh produce and improved their menu significantly.You can tell the staff really care about the well being of their residents by providing additional informational sessions and activities to improve their health and fitness.Sunnyside also has close ties to Harmony Health and other healthcare providers in the immediate area to provide those with more complex medical needs with the help they deserve, which is a huge bonus.Would recommend anyone looking for a new home to look at Sunnyside Manor, the team there will take care of all your needs.

Staff is very rude. Seem to not know what they are doing and a couple smelled like they did not shower. As well it was quite dirty inside. I was going to look for my Gramma and decided not to

I visit a friend here and I must say the quality and care they staff put into the place is amazing. The activities were well planned and the food is really good. Very impressed with the in house chef made food which also caters to dietary restrictions. My friend is very happy here.

We recently moved our mother into Sunnyside. From the first tour through to now our experience has been nothing but positive. Management and staff are quick to respond and accommodate our requests/needs Staff makes it a friendly and welcoming environment. The building is clean and has a homelike comfortable vibe.
