Poor customer service. 2 cleaners took 5.25 hrs to clean a medium sized town home that was completely empty. I came by mid clean to see what was taking so long. Found one of them on their cell phone standing around. Called and were offered a refund of an hour. Took over 2 months just to get them to issue us a refund invoice" but no refund yet. I'm guessing it will take a further 2 months to actually get out money back. Very disappointed and would not recommend at all."

After my son was born, I had Magic Clean come in and clean our three bedroom townhouse—vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning all of the bathrooms top to bottom. It didn’t matter who from the Magic Clean team came to our house to clean, they were always on time, friendly, and they did an excellent job in the time-frame they’d laid-out in advance. I was unsure at first about having someone come in and do cleaning for me, but it gave me such peace of mind to be able to hand over responsibility to someone else and know they would do a thorough, efficient job. So glad Magic Clean helped me through that challenging time!

I hired Magic Clean to clean my rental property before returning to the UK . They managed to clean the place to a condition that allowed me to take my deposit back which was the main idea of calling them. I can say that from my point of view they are true professionals.

I well understand that finding a cleaning service in the Squamish/Whistler area is difficult however, DO NOT 'sign up' with Carola and Magic Clean. The other recent reviews are a warning sign!!My husband and I hired Magic Clean in late spring 2018 to clean our house bi-weekly. We are both working and no one else lives in the home. The quoted rate was $35/hr, 3.5 hours/cleaning. All was well for a while, Sam was pleasant to communicate with and establish a cleaning schedule.Trouble began when my September/18 invoice arrived; we had been charged $36/ hr and 5/6/5 hours over 3 cleanings. To be clear, there was nothing to justify the additional hours, regardless of extra time spent on shower doors (toilets and vanity not cleaned instead).I did not care about the increase in the rate but the hours were completely wrong. I called many, many times, no answer, left a message, no return call for 5 days. I emailed regarding the excessive hours, a few days later I received a revised invoice that I still did not fully agree with but agreed to pay, and cancelled further services from Magic Clean.A few days after this I received the email with the link to pay via QuickBooks.... the hours were correct the rate was $38/hr. I emailed asking for an invoice to reflect $36/hr, Carola's email response, copy/pasted, was as follows, Magic clean hourly rate is $38 per man hr. Our apologies if this was not mentioned at the beginning of your cleaning bookings. We did had a discrepensy on your bill we did ajusted a few times already."Again

Had a meeting confirmed for 10 am. Got an email at 10 saying they would arrive “after 10.” Emailed and called twice with no answer. We left at 10:10 because we had no clue what time they would actually show up. Got a rude email saying the staff member arrived at 10:06. We have a doorbell camera so we know when they showed up, almost 20 mins late. Responded to their email stating the actual time Carola showed up (with the doorbell time). Then got an email back saying that we “need help.” So unprofessional and there are many other options, I recommend choosing another company. Hope this saves someone from a bad experience.

Really happy with the Magic Clean. My older carpet has never looked so good. I was amazed at how an older carpet can be brought to life. Magic Clean was prompt and very professional. I would recommend this company.

Enlisted Magic Clean to do a weekly standard house clean. We were quoted $195 initially, then once we confirmed the square footage of the property we were then quoted $200, which we accepted. On our first clean 2 guys arrived and appeared to do a good job - we weren't able to be home for the whole time so I don't know what time they eventually left, but we were billed for 8 man hours of work (4 hours per cleaner) at a total of $457 - more than double the quoted amount. To bill a client at more than double a quoted amount without discussing it with them first is unacceptable and completely unprofessional. When we questioned this bill we were told that they had quoted $250 (which they had not) and that the staff required extra time to get the house up to standard" - suggesting that the house was in total disarray and filth to need that many hours

Had their cleaning team come to our house to review our expectations for cleaning services after airbnb guests. Our first guests were very unhappy and sent us pictures of the way they found it. Not clean and did not change out all the linens. We had to refund our guests money and refused to pay the full amount to Magic Clean. They didn't respond and then sent our account to collections. Poor communication and customer service.
