Hogue Alain J Law Corporation

I will start this review off by stating - my experience with Alain Hogue was not with him as a lawyer, but as a person. And he is a HORRIBLE person. He rear-ended me at a stop sign. Literally, I was stopped and he drove into my brand new car. When I get out with my info, he proceeds to tell me “there’s no damage, so no point in exchanging info”. I tell him I’m not comfortable with that and I want to exchange info. He tells me again there’s no damage and it’s pointless. I say again that I’m uncomfortable with that and I want his info. He finally gives it to me. I guess being a young female made him think he could bully me. I make the claim through MPI. He proceeds to attempt to sue my husband (who’s name is on the insurance) in small claims court, for the $200 deductible. Doesn’t even know how to file the forms correctly to do that.Then we find out from MPI (who ruled 100% in my favour) that Alain LIED to MPI and told them I was the one who didn’t want to exchange info. Seriously?! I get rear ended, in a BRAND NEW VEHICLE and I’M the one who doesn’t want to exchange info?!The ‘no damage’ to my vehicle was over $1,500.He proceeds to contact my husband, trying to bribe, bully and threaten us into not claiming through MPI. Multiple times he contacts us trying to allow him to pay for the damage, reminding us about him suing us, to not go through MPI - sounds sketchy to me as the work wouldn’t be properly covered.We filed a counter suit, and if we won, would be worth at least $1,500 in our favour as we would have to miss work. He finally drops the suit when we had our car fixed through MPI.He’s a LIAR, he can’t do even the smallest amount of paperwork correctly and he has no problem blaming others for what is CLEARLY his mistakes.If you want a lawyer with no soul, no morals who is a BULLY and can’t do the basic job of a lawyer, then pick this POS.

I don't trust this guy at all. He will totally lie about a situation just to screw with people.

When hiring a lawyer don’t go for someone who will tell you they are aggressive and will do anything to win. Find someone who will tell you the truth not what you want to hear cause all they are doing is filling your head with lies for the money!!!

Gave him my paper work over a month in a half ago, I talked to him the first day and told me to drop off the package and he will get back to me in a week. Over a month in a half goes by. 40 phone calls and promises that he will call me back and nothing. This guy doesn't care about you find someone else.

He's a very unethical lawyer. While my father was passing and I stepped in as his executor I found a few discrepancies in his file. Turns out Allen has been and was still trying to lie and manipulate my doing father to get as much money out of him as possible! He has very little conscience. I highly recommend finding a more ethical lawyer in Winnipeg. There's lots.

These folks seem to know what they are doing, and if you are a client that generates revenue then you seem to be greeted quite well. The person who does reception, or rather who has her desk in reception is attentive but perfunctory with her speech. One is left with the impression that she handles a lot of the work for the owner of the firm but don't expect her to be remotely interested in you unless your generating billable hours. I would use this firm but I just see my shrink who rents an office in there. Don't go see him, he'll shrink ya.

Did not like sessions with therapist

I have great respect for alain .he is a lawyer.who never gives up . I trust his judgement and his direction.he is a very strong lawyer and very smart. Many thanks minnie budge

I had no problems..friendly, efficient...at a reasonable price. Dealt with Mr. Hogue on Real Estate and my will, I have no complaints..
