Munro Cylinder Heads

Absolutely horrible experience! Its very unfortunate that this place is the only machine shop on the west side. The job took months to complete. I had to force feed them parts just to get the ball rolling and even then there were delays after delays and over honing issues. Eventually they finished but the engine still needed work. Another few weeks goes by and i get it all together and back it the car; start it up and i hear a nasty ticking sound. I drive it to them and ask what their thoughts were. He thought it was lifters but was unsure.It made sense since it was coming near the valve train. I purchased lifters and put them in myself and wa bam, no noise. Other than burning tons of oil I felt some salvation. What i didn't understand was why they didn't tell me to purchase new lifters when they gave me the rebuild list ? Its a new" engine so everything should be replaced ? My patients were running thin so i went back and asked them this simple question. They said they couldn't check the lifters because they didn't have a tool to do it. Well a derp! Why wouldn't you throw it on the list! They didn't like that and they blamed it on me for being cheap? Didn't i just buy the part ..... Shots were fired after that. Brokeanagan is what they called me... I couldn't believe the things i was hearing from these guys when we've hardly known each other. The old man is the one to watch out for. Hes a wicked one with a nasty condescending mouth. Needless to say i picked up my ego from the ground and left as they demanded. A very horrible time. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else."

Fantastic outfit. Have had a dozen or so heads re-surfaced, ported and 3 & 5 angle valve jobs done with Scott, great work and great pricing. Flow bench before and after numbers were impressive. Highly recomended, very knowledgeable.

Quality work at fair prices i had work done by scott and garnet in the early 2000's for a work truck that i put nearly 350.000 km's on with the cylinder heads they serviced it was sold with it in running order in 2007. His son garnet has mastered the trade of his father and is taking the company to a whole new high, With outstanding performance multi angle valve jobs and porting that matches performance cams of all makes and models of both gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines. I highly recommend Munro cylinder heads over any other machine shop for cylinder head service due to the clear passion and unfathomable love of horsepower, torque, And Quality work, shown in the Physical performance of every job that passes through those doors.
