Kusina

Everytime we have family gatherings. I always buy foods at Kusina. We love to crispy pata, kare kare and cassava cake.

I paid cash for one of my orders and credit card on the other order but when I respectfully told the cashier who is the brother in-law of the owner instead of answering in a good way and as what a good sales person should do, answered me sarcastically saying in our Filipino language, “ Nakita mo bang InI-add ko and showing me the receip in a bad way. Then I said, I am just asking but he said I am just answering but he is answering in a sarcastic way not what I expect him being in the cash register and being a sales person. If you will have a sales person or somebody in the position of cashier like this disrespectful and sarcastic person you will lose some of your customers. I could have answered him, “your reply is not good but sarcastic” but instead I just kept silent to avoid confrontation as he is not stopping to answer back badly. I may not come back anymore to Kusina and I might tell my friends and relatives of my bad experience with that rude person.

Cheers to the people behind Kusina. The egg pie and chicken empanada they prepared for me were absolutely delicious, much to my delight.

The best Crispy Pata so big and for a great price and run by great amazing people.

Please save your money and your taste buds DON’T buy from here. If I could give negative stars I would. I sent my friend to purchase some Filipino food for the first time close to her. Not only was the food disgusting it’s also over priced. She ordered a few things and got other things she didn’t order. Most of the food given is nothing like you would make in a typical Filipino house hold. I’m surprised this place didn’t shut down during the pandemic. Hopefully it will. I don’t blame her for never eating Filipino food again because of this restaurants experience.

I have only tasted their crispy pata, so I can't comment about the other foods, but the crispy pata is worth the drive from Brampton.Edit: February 2023. It is worth mentioning that the price of their crispy pata has increased which is understandable due to inflation. I also noticed that the size of their crispy pata is getting smaller, less meaty. I still buy my crispy pata in this place but might start looking elsewhere.

Fresh Filipino Food!! With desserts..:) You can order Large Tray for parties. Quick bite and accessible esp for people who always on a go. I been coming here for more than 10yrs & their specialty like pancit & kawali are top notch!! I hardly gave any review but this little store seems to withstand all seasons esp after covid. Kudos!! Good food overall.

If one has a craving for crispy pata (crispy pork hock) this is the place to go. It is melt in your mouth delicious. The skin is so crunchy and crispy and the meat is well seasoned and flavourful. It is tender, juicy and moist and served with vinegar. One has to call in advance though to make sure of availability since it is clearly a best seller. They have other Filipino food as well and also have party tray menus.

I had a feeling when i went in the restaurant it had new owners. I called ahead to place an order and all i could here is giggling each time i place something. I rubbed it off thinking maybe they were laughing at something else or i dont know. When i went inside after about 30 mins from when i called i had a feeling that there is a new owner. There were 2 servers and one of them was kind but the other one was very very rude. And she is not ashamed of her rudeness. She shows it to customers and eye tolls… i saw about 4 eye rolls from her the whole time i was there waiting for my order. You are the face of the company as you are in the front line but all i got from you is rudeness. I ordered the crispy pata and when we got home it was just not the same as before and a different sauce as well. Then and there i knew it is now run by a different owner. I would have come back if it was not for your server that was rude for no reason to its customers.

Went there for a second time thinking the first time (bad experience) was a fluke. NOPE. Checked their posted menu. Waste of time, as apparently they don't make what they put on their menu schedule. Spoke with the people manning the counter. Quite rude and abrupt. I guess I'll be taking my business somewhere else. Plenty of other better places to buy from.
