Sundance is a magical place! It is a well-run ranch with incredible onsite staff and wranglers. Meals are great and the setting is incredible. The wranglers are skilled and knowledgeable and so fun!! I’ve visited with family, with friends and can’t wait to get back.Rooms are basic with very comfortable beds.

My wife and I stayed for a few nights while on our honeymoon. I hadn't ridden before and this was a great introduction to riding for me. You can do two rides a day, on lovely horses! The food and accommodation was great, huge comfy bed, and huge food portions!

Sundance Ranch is a highlight of our summer! We have great sleeps from all the fresh air and the beds are super comfortable. The rides are truly stunning, friendly and knowledgeable wranglers, and happy horses. For non riders, the facilities are lovely - a rec rooms with old school video games and pool, plus and an another rec room with a cozy fireplace just for us adults to relax in. The pool is fabulous for a soak after long rides. Finally, the food is absolutely delicious - even the vegetarian options which are full-on separate meals and not just extra helpings of the sides.

As per policy, we suffered the humiliating weigh in upon arrival and one of our group was five pounds over the restrictions . Rather than allow this guest to ride, they wanted ANOTHER weigh in in the morning. After struggling for months to keep her weight down all she wanted was to eat dinner not fast all night to ride.Taylor broke down into tears about some 4 horses that needed to be put down completely unrelated to us and our stay. Rather than find us adequate horse out of the 4 that support this apparent monstrous weight, she elevated to swearing and kicked my friend out. Once she collected herself from this unprofessional reaction, we were offered to stay without riding. The ranch owner Cynthia was not on site and communicated via text which allows tones to be interpreted . Neither myself or Cynthia were in the office during this confrontation- I begged her to watch the security footage to understand my friend did not provoke Taylor-but she refused to be reasonable. The rooms were damp feeling with ancient brown carpet which immediately felt like a health concern. There was a leak in the ceiling and a boiled water advisory.Upon comparing this to the Ranch that we left to and short notice welcomed us with warm arms, a warm meal, a much needed drink and a horse that my friend could ride - I would never return to Sundance and I am am greatful we were not given a credit as none of us wanted to return.Additionally- the month leading up to our stay-we all called several times with no one to answer the phones. We emailed several times with no response. It seemed a one way communication with generic emails being sent to only one in our party of four.A disappointment as we entered the office to see one girl just hanging out when these emails needed to be answered.Very poor experience and service speaking as business owners ourselves. It’s also noteworthy that photos can’t seem to be posted as I wanted to share our room experience- a picture of the “will return sign” in the office for about 49 mins as I returned several times to personally talk to Taylor-but- Taylor checked out and I couldn’t talk to her myself .Eagerly awaiting the defensive response to follow as per your previous negative reviews.

I absolutely loved my experience! Amazing horses, great wranglers, beautiful landscapes, and they really listened to my preferences. I felt safe all the time! Two small things I thought would've improved my stay:- We weren't really welcomed by someone. I totally understand this since there's a lot of work to do for all the wranglers, but we had to check ourselves in and read what was going to happen from a piece of paper. It would've been nicer to be welcomed by someone, showing us around the ranch/the rooms etc!- You don't have a lot of contact with the horses besides riding them. So no saddling, brushing, walking them or anything like that. Completely understandable since there are so many guests and after a long ride it's also kind of nice to be able to just hand your horse in and be done for the day, but I can imagine some people would love a little bit more contact. But over all, amazing, like a dream and I miss it every single day! Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a bachelorette weekend at Sundance Guest Ranch and had a BLAST! The location was absolutely beautiful and serene. The rooms had a rustic cabin feel but were clean and comfortable. There was a boil water advisory during our stay, however, staff provided filtered water stations throughout the resort and made sure to have filtered water available for guests. We absolutely LOVED all of the staff, especially the Wranglers that rode with us each day. They were truly so kind, fun to get to know, and genuinely wanted our group to have the best time possible. Despite other reviews warning about the weigh in at check in, we felt it was discrete and that we were well-prepared by the resort of their restrictions ahead of time. Sundance Guest Ranch was sure to send *many* emails prior to arrival stating their policy for riding, the weight/height chart restrictions and what their process was. They also asked in each email for update to date weights to ensure that they could accommodate a horse for each member of our group.Overall, we had the best time this past weekend and it was hugely thanks to the staff at the resort and the beautiful location. The line-dancing party on Saturday night was our favourite part and we can't wait to return! Thank you, Sundance Guest Ranch!

Went there mostly just for riding, each ride is about 2 hrs and if u do the highest level there will be 3 lopes so about 10 -15 mins in total the rest of time is just walking. Since I went by myself so i got the “worst” room which is right next to the office/riding sign up area,it doesnt have the mini fridge as other standard rooms do,also i couldnt sleep until like 3am on satuarday as people kept walking by my room as its in the location that everyone needs to pass by,which is bad for me cause i need to drive 4 hours back to Vancouver the next day and i had to keep pinching my thigh so i wont fall asleep during during the drive. I think im ok with that,as a business they would want to keep the cost low and max the profit, since they charge by per person so if one room is occupied by two people they will definitely make more money than one person stays in one room,so it makes sense they give good rooms to those who come in groups, even the days i stayed they were not fully occupied i dont expect them to give me the better room. but what made me feel speechless was that when i checked out the girl never even bothered asked how was my staying or room experience, instead straighforwardly asked if i want to add tip,so i just said no,i am fully aware that they would hate me for not tipping but honestly as im not going back again so i dont care,if you are only offering your basic thing to me then u are getting the basic pay from me,i work hard to make my money so i will only tip to business which deserves the tip not the one feels entitled to tip. In general,if you are white (i know this place is more interior but as i used to live in Arizona i have to say they are surprisingly more “conservative” than AZ,if u know what i mean lol),if you are not going by yourself,if you enjoy walking mostly trail rides, you would like the place. But not for me,as weather getting warmer it would be easier to find riding places near vancouver city like langley and delta so no point for me to drive 4 hours to this place.
