My dog has recieved excellent care everytime he's visited. The staff here are excellent. They're comprehensive and provided a lot of education when needed to make informed decisions.They were also excellent with my dog during his neuter and hernia repair surgery. They took good care of him during surgery and post op. My concerns and questions were always taken care of in a timely matter. I highly recommend this vet hospital. They really do want whats best for your pet.Their care is exceptional.

My experience was great. My cat and I were tended to promptly. The service was outstanding. I will most definitely return.

Moved to South Vancouver and needed a new and closer veterinary clinic. Scoured the web for a place I would feel comfortable bringing my cat to and found this hospital. I’m so glad I chose this place. Everyone was very professional and kind on our first visit. I could tell immediately that they all enjoy being around animals and that they would consider my pet’s comfort level and well-being in appointments.

I’ve been taking my dog here since he was a puppy and decided to make a switch due to the nature of this vet office.As much as I understand the staff wanting the best for our pets, I can’t help but feel, like many others on here, that they are extremely pushy with forcing expensive medication/treatments. On several occasions, I was very uncomfortable with how the vet didn’t give much time to think - or gave no other options at all. I’m only giving two stars because the receptionist and other staff were always super kind and genuine, but I didn’t appreciate the vet’s demeaning and demanding tone. Please don’t take this review as hate, but rather as a honest constructive criticism and a need to change how you interact with your clients and their pets.

The doctor we saw was very informative in her assessment, making no assumptions but offering much insight to the possibilities of what could be troubling our kitty. She was never pushy to upsell, merely gave us the options and left the decision up to us. Reception staff were welcoming. There was a relaxed and honest feel to this office which is large with a spacious waiting area. They could use a resident cat welcoming patrons like other offices often do, haha.

Our pup picked up an infection, and Dr. Ford and the team were able to slot him into an appointment the next day. Everyone at South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital has been very kind and professional during this very stressful time. They have been following up with us over the phone after all our appointments, and are very patient with all of our (many) questions and concerns. Dr. Ford was very thorough in explaining our options, and also his recommendations.

I've been going to this vet for a long time. I have always found them to be helpful and caring. The facility is usually warm and inviting. I hope that after this COVID thing is over that they bring back the little coffee station. You don't realize it at the time but that little coffee station makes it feel less scary in there. Makes it seem just like a normal day. Without it, it seems very clinical and dry. I think that's one of the things that set the facility apart from the other vets I've been to. Anyways, the staff are great and you can tell they are great with the animals.

Excellent Vet care ,staff pay close att. to detail. Returning with new Cat a rescue who I would not give up for anything.ALWAYS voted the BEST in Burnaby. Dr. Kates was our Vet.She did a phenominal job with my sister's Persian Tiggy, as well as my 2 Himalayan's.

Very friendly front desk receptionist/vet techs. Dr. Very thorough and knowledgeable and listens to your input. Would highly recommend.

Truly the best vet hospital & staff out there. Receptionists are always super kind, helpful, and amazing. We took our senior cat here for a checkup and to have his ingrown nail taken care of, and despite him usually being a nightmare at vets, Dr. Sheehan and the techs Christine and Maddy somehow kept him calm, cooperative, and comfortable the entire time to my disbelief.Dr. S made sure that I understood every part of her assessment before moving onto the next section, and at no point do you feel pressured to make any decisions or payments for anything. You can tell she is being comprehensive, and NOT looking for ways to create a big bill.Christine made sure all our ends were tied up before leaving, ensuring we had all the right instructions, follow up dates, aftercare, etc.What a stellar team :)
