Go to Salvation Army or Goodwill where they don’t charge HST and are priced better for a charity shop. I’ve been to Salvation Army and found the items cheaper there with more expensive value village tags still on. They also have better deals there and 20% off coupons when you make a donation. Value Village is quite expensive for a second hand shop acting like it’s more charitable than it is. Staff is friendly

There are no more changing rooms, and their prices have doubled (on stuff they get for free!!) probably to pay for the fancy new self checkout machines. You're better off going to Old Navy.

Found some great deals on containers, but also saw dollarama items priced higher than they are at the actual store new. So... makes it less appealing for sure. I also noticed that the prices are all over the place. Two items that are almost identical can sometimes be up to $5 difference in price. I would be curious to understand their pricing scale.

Value Village seems to have forgotten it's a thrift store. Many prices approaching full retail. Really? When you get all your stock free from donations & then charge almost retail. For example, I saw a flashlight that was priced higher than the same model I had just purchased new from Canadian Tire! On positive side very friendly employees.

Not the largest store but still found a few good items. First time going to a VV since covid and things have changed a little. Had to go around back to donate, but got a 20% discount coupon, which was good. Down side is price stickers on book covers ruins them if they're valuable/collectable. Also not a huge fan of self-check out and I had no other choice. Had a scanning issue and had to wait awhile for help from staff. Overall though still a positive experience.

I went in and decided to purchase a metal bowl priced at $9.99 x2, unfortunately the second one wasn't there any longer and I had asked someone at the front to help me price out the 1.Well she called over the supervisor named Christen. She came back and told me she'd be willing to sell it for $7.99. I said Im sorry but it's priced at 2 for 9.99

Had good experience shopping for a graduation dress for my senior daughter. Was surprised with a variety of dresses.

I love shopping for artwork here, recently I picked up a very suspicious pig! It can feel like a treasure hunt some times, but some times it’s worth it!
