We used West-Hill Landscaping on our backyard, they did an excellent job on helping us figure out how to sort out our backyard from beginning to end. They provided a detailed blueprint of an initial design, but we're also flexible with making changes as we wanted and with daily communication updates, the backyard was completed on time and on budget and looks fantastic, truly amazing service!!

Asked for estimate told me my property was to far out of his sevice area. my property is 10 minutes away from the address listed.? but appartly its to far out of the area.

Saw what was suppose to have been completed at my daughter's house from this company. They took advantage of her good nature and didn't do what they were paid to do. Came back and said they would finish it properly,well they have disappeared again!

I’m usually not one for reviews however after West Hill landscaping completed our interlock project in our front entrance and resolved our long time drainage issue in the backyard I was compelled to leave a review. Mike and and his crew went far and beyond then we expected with Covid Hampering stock supplies they went over and beyond and tracked our stones down and got the job done for us ina timely manner. Also our dogs were limited with the backyard being very wet all the time and that is now been corrected they’re back to enjoying the backyard and no more muddy feet .Thanks again for your great service.

We had West-Hill Landscaping install a drainage ditch in our backyard. They completed the project on time and we are very happy with the work. The crew kept the yard clean and did a great job on some of the hottest days of the year.

I was having drainage issues in my yard that needed fixing, and three support posts to be replaced.The contract stated that they would install a French drain system and regrade the yard. That the posts would be removed and new ones put in place. Bill promised me I would never have another drainage issue again.When the work was complete, everything looked good, I even wrote a review stating how happy I was with the results - until we started getting water runoff and rain. Within two months we had 7 floods into our house that completely ruined an entire floor of our house. This was not into the basement, into was into the floor directly adjacent to where they had done the work.The flooding was caused entirely by, and verified by city engineers and by my insurance companies investigation, to be caused by the improper grading of my yard. It was made into a bowl that water could not flow out of, and slightly sloped towards my house instead of away from it. This caused all the water to flow towards my house where it flooded in through a door. 7 times this happened after they fixed my drainage.Additionally, the posts that were to be removed were in fact just cut down and burried in the yard, a fact I found when the flooding removed all the topsoil.After contacting Bill, he was very rude and told me I don't know how a drain works and he would come by. He never came by. After months of calling and emailing, they finally came by when I threatened to write reviews and post pictures. At that point they saw the problems, looked me in the eye, shook my hand and promised to fix the issues. They said they needed the ground to dry up and would be in contact, in the meantime they would drop off a pump to help remove the water.They never did. No pump. No call. No email. No contact for over two months. We did the work ourselves, an additional $20,000 to fix our house and correct the shoddy work they did.My wife wrote a review on Google and surprise surprise, they contacted us the next day. They said they would still like to come fix the issues, admitted their fault, admitted they did not complete the items in the contract, and admitted they were at fault in not contacting us. I told them we had already done the work ourselves and if they wished to help, they could refund us the items on the contract that they did not complete. They refused to do this, just took our money and did not complete the work as stated.I do not recommend this company and if you do hire them, watch every second they are on your property.****Response to OwnerThank you for responding, as you can see in the contract posted, regrading is listed as an item to complete which was not done, just the opposite. 100% you new about the water flow to the neighbors yard where there is a storm drain to city sewers as this is an integral part of our property's drainage.Additionally, no where does it say that you will bury the posts in my yard, it says they will be removed.As for the drainage, I did say I was initially pleased with the work, but in our agreement, never did it say this was a solution for only four months of the year. I paid you to fix my drainage, not for a summer only fix as this is Canada, and we have cold weather most of the year.The sump pump never worked because you burried an extension cord rather than a proper electrical connection. This is not only against the pump manufacturer's recommendations, but also in contradiction of Ontario building code. It never worked because the first wet weather tripped my breaker and could have caused even more damage.Had you graded properly, removed the posts and used proper building code for installation of an electrical fixture, we would have no issues. But here we are, you with my money and me with an additional 20k out of pocket.

Thought they did a good job... until the winter came and my house flooded, repeatedly.Took my husband months of emailing with the owners to FINALLY come and look at it. Once they saw what was happening, they said they'll fix it as soon as the ground dried out. That was the beginning of May. Haven't heard one word from them.They also didn't complete work that was in the contract. Which they even acknowledged when they were here last.

Mike and his crew at westhilllandscaping did a great job with our front interlock walkway and landscape project. We were strapped for time and wanted to sell before the market went down. They got it done fast and the curb appeal looked fantastic and we sold her house for an excellent price. Thanks again guys for a great job.

A great company. I would definetly recommend this company. They just completed a large job at my home. They were prompt, very professional and completed the contract as agreed upon. They did a very good job on my retaining wall. The price was very reasonable. They started the job when they said and completed on time. They also went over and about to ensure the job was job properly.
