My guests from Let's Go Vino were blown away with the exclusive 5 course dinner prepared in a beautiful farmhouse turned to Chef's Table. Chef Chris Van Hooydonk is very passionate with his high quality of food selection and preparation, with many items selected steps away from his backyard farm-to-table. Your menu is tailored to the individual guests needs and preferences. He takes the time to explain where the foods are from, what they are, how they were prepared, and finally how they pair with your personally selected wines. My group loved the unique experience of watching their courses being prepared in the demonstration kitchen and selecting wines throughout the day from the neighboring wineries to share at the dinner. I would highly recommend this experience for your next private booking.

Once again we enjoyed an incredible dinner created by Chris Van Hooydonkaround Bill Eggert’s wine. The way these two work together and the meal prepared by Chris and his team is nothing short of perfection. Every nuance of the dish in front of us, picks up on elements of the glass of wine we enjoy with it. Absolutely incredible and such a treat to the pallet. Thank you Chris for another creative and beautiful dinner and thank you Bill for sharing such stunning wines!

Backyard Farm Chef's Table
Had the BEST DINNER EVER here last night. The wine pairings were phenomenal and the food was some of the best I've had. Chef Chris and his team did a truly amazing job and every last detail was considered. It was lovely getting to experience his vision and passion for local sustainable food and wines. Backyard farm is an absolute must visit. We'll be back with all of our friends!!

Backyard Farm Chef's Table
If you would like a culinary experience like no other in the South Okanagan, Backyard Farm is the place to go. It is not a restaurant but a Chef's Table which puts on private culinary demonstrations for groups up to 20 people. Every meal is uniquely designed with the group in mind working with dietary restrictions and allergies and perfectly paired if you take his wine pairing suggestions. You must book early in the year if you want a dinner in the summer season as it is a extremely popular and exclusive. You won't be disappointed.

Backyard Farm Chef's Table
I had the pleasure of working with Chris Van Hooydonk, owner of Backyard Farm Chef's Table, to create a wonderful dining experience last week at Area 27 Race Track in Oliver, BC.As an event planner for General Motors, I worked with Chris to orchestrate lunch and dinners over three days, for our group of media driving the new Camaro ZL1 1LE at the track.In addition to excellent cuisine, Backyard Farm Chef's Table provided outstanding service and willingness to work with a very dynamic schedule for a group of 40 hungry people. Chris provided a wide of variety of foods, presented in a very, fresh, appealing buffet. Many of our guests commented on superb quality of these wonderful meals.Not only was Chris and his team a pleasure to work with, their creativity and ability to work in a challenging remote location, in a tent, at a race track, was very much appreciated!I would highly recommend Backyard Farm Chef's Table for your catering needs.
