After cancelling insurance that was paid in full, with two weeks notice that the insurance was no longer required, these guys sent me a bill for approximately $45. When asked how or why I could have an outstanding balance on a policy that was paid upfront ahead of time and cancelled before the prepaid portion ran out, I received no response. Almost 5 months later a collection agency phoned me out of the blue asking when I was going to pay the outstanding balance. I lost it on the poor lady. There was and still has not been any communication from GORE or from their broker WESTERN FINANCIAL in regards to this. Buyer beware!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just a horrible experience with the company for a whole year. By far 4 adjusters on our water damage claim and the case is still open and unresolved. They are either on vacation, busy with other cases or just away from office... An awful insurance company with more than useless representatives. I sincerely have no idea how they are in business.

After paying premiums to this company for 20 years they cancelled our coverage because my granddaughter moved into the suite above us and started a home base business. There was no attempt to find a solution for us with this company or with the broker through which they work. Their website proclaims that they care about the consumer. Not so much.I will be sure to pass along my opinion of Gore Mutual and Insure BC to all my clients.

The adjuster doesn't care how much is your damage, they ignore you and leave you in the dark. the worked damaged my new Italia table and Swarovski lights and floor. Gore asked people to repair it, they keep changing different adjuster talk you try to make the case worse. Do not deal with this business, it is very unforfessional!

Kate Nelson, CIP Senior ClaimCare Advisor, Residential Property is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in business. It's like she used to work for the gestapo. No people skills, rude and surly tone. I hope you are reading this Kate, pity your life seems so miserable that you need to project that onto your customers.Update: I bet Kate is still as miserable today as she was when I dealt with her two years back. Most people would be fired for being so awful.

Having insurance with them, it's like having no insurance at all. They just take your money and when you make a claim they are not there for you. I pay big money for both of my properties for few years with them. And finally went to make a claim. Guess whatNope they are not helping at all.Do not go with this company

This insurance company is unprofessional to protect clients' coverage and the responsible person and her supervisor is not responsive at all in time and poorly explained why our claim was denied at the first place. They are not providing official determination letters and adjuster's report yet even though they already denied our claim last Wednesday. They seems doing their jobs to deny all claims. Never recommend this company.

So expensive. We paid in full for the 1 year commercial insurance. Because they were late getting the new policy out, they gave us another month of insurance. They never billed us for it and it was just forgotten about by us. All of a sudden, we have a letter from a collection agency!!!! Never have we missed payments to any company that sent us an invoice. I am utterly disgusted and disappointed in this company and will never deal with them again.

Just like its name “Gore” and add a “Y”. Such a gorey experience that one of my friends had to deal with. They are friendly and chit-chatty from the start and wide openly taking your money but when time comes for a claim (legitimate), they are nowhere to be found (agent on the claim centre not helpful at all, asking for receipts of the items that which clearly has been purchased years ago - that’s only a fraction of it). Very unresponsive and ignored even when you have all the paperworks and reports.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL

I had really bad experience with them. They did not respond to my emails for a month and it happened twice. My claim started in Feb 2020 and they kept delaying it, they would say they didn't get my email or I (agent) was on vacation. The agent they assigned to me was Laura Mcleen and she never picks up her phone or reply to email on time. In the course of 5 months I only talked to her once. They tried to cut cost and pay me less and try to blame it on me for damaged goods due to leakage of water. Don't go with them.
